: 4 inch PRG performance package
mojo2 01-12-2008, 09:55 PM The 4 inch PRG lift for the titan looks really good. Does anyone know if this kit will work on an 08 Armada? The 4 wheel drive kit says it maintains a 1 inch rake to the front, which I actually prefer, as it insures that the rig doesn't appear to sag in the rear.
I know for a fact that the rear will not work on an Armada. Your best options are the PRG 2" / 2.5" spacers, Rancho 4" Lift Kit, or the ProComp 6" front / 4" Rear Lift Kit.
Personally, if I had my pick of any, it would be the Rancho 4" Lift Kit combined with the PRG 2" Spacers to give a full 6" lift all the way around.
norcal05SE 01-13-2008, 12:58 AM yea, what pops said. i was gonna comment, but he about summed it up.
mojo2 01-13-2008, 08:24 PM Thanks for the feedback. I had already narrowed it down to either the 4 inch Rancho kit or the PRG mini lift, when I saw the PRG 4 inch package. Too bad it won't work for the Armada, the kit looks nice.
g35gear 02-15-2008, 02:12 PM I had the 4" kit on my Titan and then sold it to go back to the 2" mini lift. You can adjust the Donohoes up to 4" but then it rides like total crap.

Well my opinion would vary a bit from Pops!!! The Rancho 4" Kit is actually about 5.5" so that being said and adding 2" spacers you will be a little higher then 6".
Now being that the Rancho Kit isn't exactly (BOLT ON) I would just run with the Pro Compo 6" Stage 1 ( IS BOLT ON ) and then upgrade your shocks if you like. This way you will not need to slap any type of spacer on there to get the lift you want and you will avoid any uneccessary drilling.......JMHO
totallyjacked 02-19-2008, 04:42 AM Why would you choose that over just the procomp 6" pops? Cause it would ride better, cause it would be cheaper, to avoid raising the front more than the rear, or for some other reason?
G35gear, was it the Rancho lift that drove terribly? How does the procomp 6" drive?
Thanks.

Because from what I've seen, the Rancho appears to have rear blocks for our stock shocks so I can keep my OEM Load-Leveling Suspension.

Not so, the ARMADA awd kit requires drilling a few holes in the rear's lower control arm, as well as a few spot welds.
Its all very well documented in the install instructions.
Maybe the kit for the 2wd Armada's is different, but the original poster has an awd.
BonnerBB 08-06-2008, 12:51 PM The ProComp 6" drives great. I test drove a 08' Mada with it on. It was HUGE!!! Glad I went to test drive this one because it helped me make up my mind that I did not want to put it on my QX56. Wife made fun of me because she told me that it looked like a teenagers car. I liked it but - I would not want to pull up at an important business meeting/dinner in it with a 6" lift.
Wish I was a Rancher so I would have a reason to drive a Huge Lifted truck. Anyway - the point is - the 6" from Pro Comp handled extremely well. Just would have given me more attention than I would want at my age.
Oh - it did rub a little when pulling up a little hill. Had 35's on it. I would say that if someone is looking for a vehicle with good off-road performance - they would not have bought an Armada in the first place with it's Rear Independent Suspension.

Oh really! Then why did you go with the Pro Comp. :)
Oh really! Then why did you go with the Pro Comp. :)
One reason: $$$$ Price $$$$ :D
After seeing more about the Rancho, I don't think I'd combine it with a mini-lift. I like the Rancho Cross Member Bracket better than ProComp's, they make a nice rugged looking cross member.
BonnerBB 07-22-2009, 01:13 AM :) Oh! I see!
