I was reading our DieselPower magazine and came across a little article about the Nissan Qashqai. To summarize, they took 7 test drivers from the Nissan Technical Center in Europe, gave them a 1.5 dCi Qashqai and left them on the southwest coast of Europe. They made it to the Northern tip of Scotland WITHOUT refueling...that's 867 miles, and they reportedly had 7 liters of fuel left over. They averaged 67.35 mpg. They went 60 on highways the whole trip...all I can say is YES PLEASE! And all out of a vehicle I'd heard nothing about.
I can't say I love the "look" of them though...they are a crossover from Europe.

Maybe they'll offer the Rogue with the diesel engine.

It's a link with active video, so it loads pretty slow. Leave it to Nissan to make their website complicated lol.
It's pronounces "cash kie", a lady's voice says it as soon as the website opens :)
First new set of new tires would bring it back down to 15mpg's for me. Those donut tires would have to go. :D

Haha that is very true Pops. But I still am amazed at those numbers. All done with no mods or anything. I mean...you could fill up 3.5 times and then you'd need to change your oil lol.

Its what you call a Nissan Rogue. We had the Qashqai ( cash-kai) about 6 or more months ago in the UK. Fuel is so expensive we have smaller engines to chose from instead of the usual V6/V8's u find here in the U.S
One of the reasons I got a mada... No-one back home has one!!
