SedonaArmada 05-16-2005, 01:23 PM Anyone know what the deal is with this?

Seems like crap. Maybe it just effectively changes the fuel mixture.
TooTall 05-16-2005, 04:34 PM Resistors dont work because if you are tricking the vehicle into thinking the air is colder, it will add more fuel. If the actual ambient temp is 90 out, then you will run WAY rich...
scr38 05-16-2005, 05:13 PM You can send the money to me and it will do the same thing for your Armada! ;)
baseballfanz 06-13-2005, 11:45 AM Horse powers cost money, and for $9 I don't believed you will even get a pony.

I'll install it for $5, but if your truck don't work then don't worry I think I probably voided your warrenty! :D
Malik112099 06-13-2005, 01:46 PM the resistor tricks the MAF into thinking the incoming air is actually colder than it really is....this causes the ECU to dump more fuel into the engine for the denser air that it thinks its getting.....all this will do in the long run is make your vehicle run rich, screw up the O2 sensors and possible the catalytic converter

And lower your gas mileage. You get what you pay for.
Heres another BS chip. Enjoy the laugh. :teeth:

Lhduce 08-28-2005, 02:19 AM How about i take u in the back and kick you in the balls and you will get the same effect as this chip....hehehe ;)
Malik112099 08-29-2005, 03:38 PM i think its funny that the titles always say "chip" and they actually show a pic of the 17 cent resistor that they are shoving into the connector.....AND people still buy them!
blkjack 08-29-2005, 03:59 PM 305 hp (87 oct.) or 315 hp (93 oct.) with 385 lb./ft. of torque.....Exactly how much faster do you guys want to go.
dmarmada04le 08-29-2005, 05:27 PM 305 hp (87 oct.) or 315 hp (93 oct.) .
Uhhohhh, here we go again with the octane vs. horsepower discussion.
:schla24:

About double that would be fine thank you. My Mada is my slowest vehicle. If you gave me the option, I'd like to have a 0-60 of about 5 seconds, quarter in the high 12s. I want to scare people, like 350zs and Mustangs. Then I would be happy, but faster wound't hurt. ;)
adjmcloon 08-29-2005, 06:56 PM Guess you better drop the cash on that supercharger then Triple! Might as well upgrade the brakes too- getting 5400 lbs. going 0-60 in 5 seconds would be pretty crazy.
blkjack 08-29-2005, 07:03 PM I'm very happy with 0-60 in 7.0... :noworries

Check out eh august issue of Popluar Mechanics or Science. There is an report on these so-called performance enhancing, gas saving mods. One of the devices similar to this one caught on FIRE!!!
