Looking to reduce drone. I know drone is based on RPMs but my reference is speed. From 67 to 74 mph my brain vibrates from the drone. I even got a much unneeded speeding ticket because I was driving out of the drone range for some sanity. The exhaust is awesome from 0 to 66 mph and silent over 80 mph. I have driven 45000 miles this year on the highway and spend a lot of time trying to avoid 67 to 74 mph which is difficult.

I have KN CAI, 2 degree advance and magnaflow exhaust.

Does anyone know about the Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator? Does this work? How does it work? Does it need to be professionally installed?

Any other options before I put this beast back to stock.

Myself and a few others had great success reducing the Magnaflow drone by shortening the tailpipe by 12". It worked well on our Titans, not sure if any Armada owners tried it. It works because there is a frequency resonance range that is associated with overall exhaust length.

I think i am the only armada owner who tried it and it works great... also, i have the ultra resonator and they helped too. so, get the reso and cut the 12'' and you will be really happy like me....:noworries :D

important note: keep the tail piece away from the end of the pipe coz i noticed mine is very close and that made some extra drone than without it. I will have to cut another 3'' from the tail piece to clear the area of the flow..

Does that Step Bar get in the way of the Hitch Receiver if you decide to tow something??

let me get this straight before I start cutting.

From the looks of it I am supposed to measure 12 inches from the tail pipe back and then cut it off there. Is this correct?

It looks like you just fixed the cut pipe back on the truck to make it complete.

How do I go about purchasing this? What am I looking to measure? How does it install? Do they work?

Thanks.

I bought them from this site:
http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/VIB1140.htm

and yes they work fine, but it will work better after you cut the end of your tail pipe. No, i did not attached the cut piece,,, i purchased a piece that is used mostly for the mustangs,, try to keep it away from the cut atleast 4''.

There is only one solution that works every single time...STOCK exhaust...virtually the same power yet very comfortable...it also works great with any of the CAI in the market.
