Has anyone had issues with the clock losing time. The wifey called this morning and said that it's about 15 min's behind. Not sure if this has been ongoing but, this is the first she's noticed it. Everything else seems to be working fine. No Mod's have been done nor has the battery given us any issues.
Thanks
I usually reset my car clocks twice a year. Wifey likes to set them 10 mins fast and is always messing with them so I have to keep recalibrating anyway.

Pops, does your 05' have a Daylight Saving Time feature? The 08' comes with it, I thought that was pretty cool. Not knowing much about the Mada's prior to this one...not sure if this is standard on most year models or something new in the 08's
No, mine does not but I don't have the Tech Package either. Could be something new for the new Centralized Display??? Like I was telling my Daughter the other day, after 20-ish years the '05 Armada's dash looks just like the dashes that were in our first 2 - 300zx's. :D

Pops, one of my first rides was an '84 Nissan 300z Turbo. I used to roll that car back in 91 thru 94. It didn't have any A/C, but it sure was quick.

my 08 loses time quite regularly and turns itself back to am/pm rather than 24hr display. Is getting to be a right PITA. Is it a known fault or what?

Obviously there is an issue in 08's at least. I posted this thread a while ago...

Odly enough, mine is Timberline also
It's not like the clock loses incremental time over a period. Overnight the clock loses 15 minutes. Park the car for the evening with an accurate clock, start it the next morning and it's off 15 minutes. And it happens WEEKS apart. No other obvious battery/electrical related problems otherwise.
Mine does not have the NAV option...if we can find common ground....
Thanks for the info,

Mine does this too, I notice it only does it sometimes when outside temps are around the 30's.
When it's warm outside the clock keeps accurate time

My '08 mada did it for the first time last week. Out of the blue my wife told be that she was late for an appointment because the clock was 15 mins slower. The overnite temp dropped under 30.

It's only happened once to our Mada. But, the temps in Houston never drop below 30. Not sure if it's tied to temprature. I agree with CSPTK, it has to do with color of the vehicle :D
Will be taking the Mada in for service in a few weeks, I'll ask if this is a known problem. Might print this thread for them to read.

Rob,
Mine has not been tied to cold temps either (although this latest one it WAS very cold). The other times it's happened have been 60's-70's. It has happened 4 times since May of 07'.
Please let me know if your dealer has anything to go on. I have not scheduled service yet for this (but I will bring it up when I bring it in).

My dealer offered to change a "head unit"??? that controls the clock. I may wait until a TSB is issued.
My time is still holding accurate for now; I'll check closely again when it gets cold to see if it really is caused by the weather. I've only had my 08 for two months..........

I had this problem last week too. And yup..it lost 15 minutes... I had to reset it...
anyone found the reason for this yet?
