Welcome to the Club!!!!

Sorry, I'm not sure if it can be done or not. Sounds like an expensive experiment waiting to happen.

I know for a fact that no Nissan OEM screens of any kind have any RCA connections. :(

I'm thinkin' it would be nice to hack that screen for Nav, movies, and maybe a backup camera. I think companies like NavAndTV2Go are working on something but I don't know what all they have in mind for us.

thnx for the suggestion.
the first thing i thought of when i saw that the screen came standard is "there must be a way to mod it"

ill keep checking those two companies to see if they come out with any stuff

I saw this video switch on Ebay that they sell for adding a backup camera to the stock screen. It looks as though the screen uses a VGA type input.

Can this be confirmed ? I just joined the site btw, bought mine about a month ago. SE silver... I just aded a nuvi and 680 above the mirror. nice clean install. It appeared that adding everything seperatly was just going to be a pain in the balls.

Could you post a link to it?? We'd be curious to know more details and which brand it is.

Do you have any pics of this? I would like to see how that looks.

No rca plug(s). It has a plug with several wires in it. It took so long to take the screen out.

do you think that maybe its possible to take those wires and turn them into an rca or s-video adapter?(or some other common connector)

Any more information on this? I would love to add a backup camera and use the oem info screen on my 08 SE.

Thanks for any input.

Hopefully I can paste this for you. It is expensive but you can add nav and a reverse camera and it is plug and play. I believe it is $1400 or close to that. If interested just let me know.

I cannot get the pictures to transfer as it is in a pdf file. I can email anyone if they would like. Here is the text that came with the pictures.

Anyone have more information on this? Manufacturer? Looks promising to me.
