on a new '08 4x2 Armada LE. Fully loaded (with the exception of the 4 wheel drive) and I can't wait. It gets delivered on Tuesday. I *think* I got a great deal, so now all I have to do is sell my '04 4Runner. Any tips or advice right off the bat? Thanks!

Congrats... i am about a month on my Armada and love it... had a 03 4Runner v8 (and actually a tundra for a brief period.) The 4Runner was super easy to sell... they sort of speak for themselves.

As far as the Armada... personal preferance.. but if you don't like the hard plastic center armrest you can order the nice leather one from the QX... takes 2 minutes to install. You lose that rubbery surface on top (for a phone, etc.) but we thought it was well worth it. Best $60 i have spent on the Armada.

Color?

That's great advice! Where did you order the armrest from? I got the black Armada with charcoal interior. I hope the 4Runner sells quickly, three car payments at once is going to suck!

Thanks Pops. What exactly does the 2 Degree Timing change buy me? And what do I lose if I get that done? Thanks in advance!

My Signature has links to instructions or info of everything listed there. The 2* Timing Advance bumps your Initial Timing up from 15 degrees to 17 degrees. You'll lose nothing. The reason we do it is to add a little more low-end umph. We've all seen different results from doing this but quite a few of us have improved our MPG's a tiny bit (like for an extra day or two before refilling) if we continue with our same driving habits. My theory is that we're using less gas pedal for the same amount of acceleration.

JI have had my 2 degree advance for about a year now and I have no loss of anything. I have improved mileage and acceleration.

That's awesome. I'm going to contact the dealer to see if they can get that done before I take delivery. Thanks for the great advice.

Would you guys recommend a bug deflector? I'm worried about how it may look.

I got a bug deflector and it looks fine IMO plus it works like a charm!

Yes, a bug deflector would be great!! Our hoods are extremely susceptiple to nicks and chips so that would be a wise investment.

Did you guys go with one from a dealership, or a third-party?

A lot of the guys have gotten them through Burtman, a Site Sponsor because he's easy to deal with and stands behind his products.
