Since I'm new to Nissan, you'll have to excuse the "green-ness" of my knowledge. :D Drove to a crawfish boil yesterday, and was annoyed by this guy driving a VW Jetta. I'm passing traffic in the left lane while behind two cars travelling slower than I'd like to go. The Jetta's behind me, and I'm noticing flashing headlights. He wants "me" to move over so he can get buy. NOPE! Ain't happenin'! I get by all the slow traffic, and notice this Jetta blowing by me. Hmm... Let's see what ole Mada can do. After burning 3/4s of a gallon of gas, I catch this Jetta pretty swiftly. Things I noticed...

#1 - Top speed is ~112mph <--- safegaurd for the big tank... good job Nissan

#2 - Cruise control does not engage at speeds higher than ~92mph <---

Not that I do this often, but it's nice to know the Mada can move if you need it too. I am kinda annoyed that the CC didn't engage higher, but again, SAFETY FIRST!

I guess I'll learn a few new things the more I drive it. BTW, the Jetta didn't want to pass me anymore. I can handle the weight of the Armada just as well as that of my Accord. ;) And, I do know the limits of the Armada (b/c it's as heavy as my old Yukon... if not heavier). Won't take it at that speed anymore. Although it floats along the road quite comfortably. :p

nice. When I first got my Armada I noticed a few things about other drivers that I hadn't considdered before: 1) People don't like to be behind a big vehicle not matter how fast it's moving. It's very hard to have a full view of the road ahead when 60% of your view is being occupied by a truck;)
2) Other large truck & SUV drivers (especially in Oregon, don't try and deny it Heather:D ) want to race you all the time. I can't tell you how many times some Bubba tried to outrun the 'mada while we're driving on a country road on the South Coast.

I can't deny something that's true Clay...and sadly that IS true . You should see how it is when we take the truck out. Especially when I am driving. Every man on the road in something bigger than a Geo Metro thinks they have something to prove lol.

I have something that'll beat the Mada... :D Only problem is a small transmission leak. ;) Anxiously awaiting Uncle Sam's deposit into my checking account to fix that problem.

And what might this "toy" you speak of be? :)

How did the mada handle at top end?
Im used to low-to-the-ground sports cars and often reached 150+
But in the mada it starts to wobble at 90 and makes my bum grab the seat!

Lol well while we're at this "I can beat that" game...our buddy has a 550+ hp, STREET LEGAL Civic, and that's only with 12% boost, he kept burning up his clutch lol.

The wife's +300hp 07 350Z makes me close my eyes sometimes when I ride with her, what a little go cart that thing is. If I want to go fast I use my motorcycle, 6,000# SUVs are really not the best choice for that task.

I've hit top end for a couple of miles on a drive to vegas and had no wobble or control issues. was changing lanes and passing with out an "out of control" feel. I don't always drive fast but open straight road had to try her out.....let off after about 2 miles since I remembered my tires are only rated for about 90something MPH. Off Road Tires -AT REVO..any can correct me on this if I am wrong about that. But she does handle well.

Anytime a woman is driving I close my eyes ;)

Luckilly, I have not been in that situation in over 10 years because I always have them hand over the keys.
