Don't have any experience with that bed. But my wife and I both have back problems, and I like firm support while she likes a soft bed. We bought the Select Comfort (Sleep Number) bed with the separate controls for each side so we can set the firmness where each of us want. We have had it for a couple of years and it has made a big difference in our rest. No more waking up with hurting backs. It has worked very well for us; don't think you can find a better bed.

We've had our Tempupedic for about 9 months now. It is honestly the best mattress I have ever slept on. :excellent
Wife agrees and so does the cat (He never slept on old mattress but we can't get him off the tempurpedic)

The Select comfort I got is the 5000 series. King size, pillow top, with sepatate controls.

Damn, that 9000 series is stupid expensive. What made you go with the 5000?

The distributor where we bought our mattress from had all three versions set up in their store. We spent about 10 - 15 mins on each one. It was our opinion that the Classic was the "Firmest" and the Celebrity was the "Softest".
We went back a few days later a retried them ...again about 15 mins on each one. We selected the Tempurpedic Deluxe. The Celebrity was a close second but to me it's pillow top was a bit soft and not really necessary. ( I suffferd a broken back 8 years ago and felt the Deluxe provided me with the best comfort/support.)
In talking to the store manager he stated that from his experiance most "Back" sleepers tend to lean towards the Classic while "Side" sleepers lean towrds the Celebrity. Their most popular model sold is the Deluxe. BTW this was not a mattress store but a Scandanavian furniture store. They only carry two lines of mattresses, Tempurpedic and a Very Expensive Scandanavian line.
I have talked to a least a dozen other Tempurpedic owners. Some stated they felt it was the best mattress from the first night they slept on it while others said it took them a week or so before they "adjusted" to it. They all said that it is the best and they would never go back to a traditional mattress.
I tell everyone who asks me to try the tempurpedic ..... When you compare the price to the major manufacturers top lines you will see that Tempurpedic is really not that expensive. (In fact it is less). If you are going to spend money on a quality mattress do yourself a favor and try the tempurpedic .... The return shipping is small in the overall picture, but my bet is it will be a non-issue as you'll be keeping the Tempurpedic.

I went to a store and tried them all. I felt the 5000 did everything I wanted. I don't need all the bells and whistles, just something that works.
