: Would You Buy an Armada Tomorrow?
Wilson 05-27-2005, 11:29 PM If you had to do it all over?
I test drove an LE and an SE today, and I'm strongly considering buying the LE.
If you had to do it all over again, would you buy an Armada?
scr38 05-28-2005, 12:31 AM Yes! I have a little over 18K miles on mine with no problems. Best power train on the road.
Campfamily 05-28-2005, 02:27 PM Absolutely! Red Brawn this time, though!

AZARMADA 05-28-2005, 03:57 PM Yes, and will. Probably in "09
weezr17 05-28-2005, 05:07 PM YES! TOTALLY...can't wait to see what Nissan does to the Armadas in the future!
TopCat 05-29-2005, 10:16 PM Yes I would buy it again. It's not perfect but it's still good.
The Beast 05-30-2005, 12:09 AM Ain't nothing on the road like The Beast!!! :udaman:
SykoArmada 05-30-2005, 08:44 PM You bet! Nothing like taking a trip with my 29 ft Jayco and crusing along at 70MPH. The looks we get is awesome!

KLONDIKE_x5 05-30-2005, 08:57 PM Without a doubt... Next one would be Red Brawn as well
Armada 05-30-2005, 10:44 PM Yes, just like I have now. No problems of any kind and nothing to compare to it in our price bracket, period. I am very happy.
chrisarmada 05-31-2005, 08:23 PM I just took a 500 mile trip and for the first half of it (mostly flat and 72mph cruise) I got 20 mpg (260 miles on 13 gallons). The rest of the trip was hard mountain driving and I got 15 mpg. In the mountians I was very impressed with how nimble this big beast was. I was loaded down and could still keep pace with every passenger car in sight, even on the tighter roads. The Nissan corners flat and drives much smaller than you would imagine so it is easy to keep up your momentum. And I have the 4 x 4. I can just imagine the 4 x 2 would be that much better for that type of driving. It is a living room on wheels and handles the curves with ease and if you need it, it has the power to put it by any SUV on the road all while sipping gas and lower emmisions (compared to it's competitors). What more could you ask for?
Maybe this:
The only problem I had was I finally crossed the line into the brake warping problem. I have 3k miles. When the brakes were hot (while I was driving like a maniac in the mountians on downhill switch backs) I did notice a vibration in the wheel on braking. Once the brakes cooled the vibration went away. If this SUV had larger, more powerful brakes it would be awesome. I knew this going in and I still have plans to add a big brake kit (Stop Tech if they ever make one that works with stock wheels, guys please plead with them on their website, we'll all win). I never planned to get the 05 dealer upgrade (and go through all those hassles, loosing the warranty because dustless pads are installed? It's my truck and I control what pads and disks I want). I would say my assesment (before I bought it) was correct and my plans are the same after 3 months and 3k miles. Despite the problems we all complain about, did you guys see last week that the ARMADA won the Big SUV category for highest initial quality? Saw it on MSN. So even though we complain here, when you go somewhere else it may be worse and you may not have a voice to improve the situation.

Big O 06-01-2005, 02:39 PM i would do it again.but maybe wait a few months a get a better deal.
VeeTec 06-01-2005, 02:54 PM Yes I would, even though I had the brake issue as well. I am waiting for the replacement brakes, but in the mean time they turned the rotors, and all has been well since then.
Nothing like a decent handling large SUV, that looks great, will carry my whole family, and stomp unsuspecting performance cars.;)
Cillyone 06-02-2005, 01:44 AM I have a better question, what would you buy instead? Look at the competition and think about it. There is really no other SUV that can stack up against all of the Armada’s strengths; power, interior room, towing ability, reliability, price and features. There is no other choice, so I guess I would have to buy it again.
Armadacrazy 06-14-2005, 11:13 PM Yep! We bought one of the first ones out and have 53K miles on it. We are waiting to see if they come out with a 3/4 ton when we wear this one out, but love the size and power of this one. Our only concern is the limit on the allowable hitch weight for towing.
My Armada is a 2004 that I bought Oct of 2004. If I were to need to buy another SUV today, there would only be 2 choices for me. Armada and QX56.
Even with the gripes about brakes and rattles, it's still the best looking and powerful one out there.
I still love the way the Titan looks as well. It looks like the Batmobile of pickups. I may get a Titan as well next year.
