: no preasure in rear self leveling airbags
den-s 04-08-2008, 01:10 AM I recently lowered my armada 2" all around using lowering coils and tried adjusting the sensor that controls the self leveling airbags. No matter what position I tried setting the sensor it wont hold air and keep the height I want it at. It actualy brings it back to stock height. So right now the bags are completly flat and not supporting any weight and thats the only way that the rear will stay down at the new lowered height. Is this bad for the rear struts?
where did you get these lowering coils? please let me know...
i do not have the rear leveling suspension since i dont have the tow package but i am sure someone will be able to answer your question... you can also pm lowincarmada as he has done this mod also...
Sounds like the arm is turned the wrong direction. I made the same mistake so I added it as part of this How-To:

Hi there Pop's, I actualy tried both directions, it's trying to find that perfect position where it won't over pump and lift up the rear higher than where I want it. Belive me I tried every incrementl position. It could just be that the leveling system was designed to work only with stock height springs. Oh well... If I continue to drive with no pressure in the air bags could this be bad for the struts or any thing else? Oh yea I forgot to mention that the ride is pretty smooth and not even bouncy even in the rear.

thats hot bro... make sure you post pics of it lowered!!! i am contemplating on doing the same, but i dont have the rear leveling bags...
may i suggest one thing?
get the running boards, front air dam, mudguards, and maybe the roof rack painted to match... it will set it off an even look a lot lower, lol... i know they are already "black" but to match it up would set it off even more...

everytime you adjust the level take it down the street and give it a few mins. keep doing this until desire pressure, great job by the way and i want to see some pics.
