in the stock size there is Michelin cross terrain, they are decent on icy roads, but they do not have the tread open enough to be called a snow tire. they are pretty loose on roads that change from deep snow to slushy icy conditions.
The bridgestone dueller at revo is great in winter when new, as it wears it looses its traction pretty quickly. I have a tread wear issue with these tires, they are pretty much worn out with only 40 000 km ( less than a year old)
Both of these are really only all season tire. i don't know iff they'll pass as winter tires as required by Quebec law
for next winter I'm looking at a set of bridgstone blizzak DMZ3 they seem to have a fairly aggressive open tread and if they have the icy road traction of the dullers i'll be happy

obviously a set of snow tires would be the way to go. i ran a set of toyo observes on my subaru a few years ago and they were amazing.
as far as a non snow-based tire, if yyou are looking for something you can run year round that does well in the snow, stick with an all-terrain tire. find one that has a lot of siping, and maybe even have them siped by the tire deal. toyo a/t, nitto terras, michelin x-terrains, all good tires for the snow. obviously on ice they arent gonna be that great, but the awd of the mada will work wonders even with crappy tires!!!
BFG all terrain (AT). this is the best all around tire for wet, deep snow, ice, mud etc... all other tires are lacking in some area or another but this BFG AT is magical on all surfaces.
the Funny thing is that when i was vacationing in Quebec I was speaking with a resident who turned me on to this tire. He claims that for the weather they have he wouldnt ride on any other tire.
I had BFG's on my Isuzu trooper and they are so confidence inspiring that no other tire compares.
I currently have Interco Truxs 35's which are great in everything but Ice...theyre actually a bit scary ....but awesome off road. I chose these because im partial to the looks.
Stay away from BFG MT (mud terrain) you'll kill yourself on the ice.
