I'm sorry but I really have to ask...how many miles are you putting on this poor mada...and how in the world do you go through brakes like that even when towing?! :p

Yeh I'm looking into this info as well but I wanted to know if we are able to put the stillen brakes with the stocker wheels for winter??

I heard once, a couple years back, that Brembo put out GT brakes that fit the Armada. If that 'rumor' holds any credit, you can't go wrong with Brembo... although you will need deep pockets!

put on 25 k a year. i believe my rotors are warping because the stearing wheel vibrates as i brake. the pads just keep wearing out. i bought oem pads everytime. most of the time i am carrying about 2000lbs in the car not towing it. so iam guessing the added weight is killing my brakes....................i looked into the brembro and stop tech brakes they are a little to expensive for me. but the stillen brakes are a bit more reasonable. i believe they come with drilled/slotted 14" rotors. anything has to be better than the wimpy brakes that came with the mada. plus i am in need of brakes and rotors now so seems the right time to buy......any thoughts??? thanks in advance

i've installed a set of stillen big brakes on a qx56 and they work great worth every penny a set cost about 1450 the install is pretty easy.

A less expensive alternative is the Sportstop rotors, std. size. drilled and slotted.
www.stoptech.com phone 626-961-5775
part # 127.42084R & 127.42084L about $173 US each.
pads: wagner thermo-quiet ceramic part # PD1015 about $63 US.
Be careful with the part number application; the retail part store sold me the wrong rotors the first time; (their parts book or computer had the wrong # for Armada. I got the correct numbers above from StopTech by phone).

FYI, I bought these about a year ago after Nissan said they would no longer do anything for brake judder. The recalled rotor/pad replacement lasted about 30K miles; not bad considering that the orginals only lasted about 3K miles before warping. I discovered they were the wrong replacement rotors at the Nissan Parts counter, where I went to compare them with Nissan rotors. The parts man said just bring the car in and complain to the service dept. I did, and they machined the rotors for no charge. Well, I'm so cheap, I decided to wear their brakes out first, so I will probably install the new ones in about another 5K miles at next service. I don't know how they work, but I am guessing they will cool much better than the Nissan rotors, even thought these are the stock size.

If anyone has used these, let us know how you like them.

Forgot to mention my Armada is '04 2WD. Recall rotors and pads installed at about 9K miles. Car now has about 51K miles. Same pads, rotors macined at about 40K miles; not really shaking steering wheel, but starting to "groan"; probably from glazed surface on rotors from overheat. The brakes are just too small for weight of car.

I put Stillen Brake kit on 2.5 years ago. They are great and do help with towing. If you do a search, I posted a lot of pics on it. Here's one I have left.
