Mercedes mini ML is go! Auto Express has the first official pictures of the all new GLK, which is revealed tomorrow at the Beijing Motor Show.

The small 4x4, first revealed at the Freeride concept car at the Detroit Mtorto Show in January is the first time the three pointed star has been worn by a compact SUV, however Mercedes has high hopes for the newcomer.

Aimed at the likes of the Audi Q5 – which will be unveiled at the Beijing Show shortly before the GLK goes Public on Saturday – the newcomer aims to provide off road thrills in a package designed to offer class leading road manners.

Power is for the top seller expected to come from a 3.5-litre V6 with Mercedes 4Matic all-wheel-drive standard. All versions will to have the 7G-Tronic TouchShift automatic transmission.

Mercedes Diesel engines and even a hybrid version are also being planned, while later on there could even be a V8-powered GLK63 AMG version. While the U.S. is slowly moving away from big SUVs, Mercedes is losing market share to small SUVs like the BMW X3. With this new GLK it is hoping to get back on top again.

I think it's rather ugly IMO. The nose is WAY tooooooo long. lol.

I am not sure I like the nose on that thing... interior looks nice though

dude, i havent said this about an mbz product in a while, but that thing looks tough. i really like. which surprises the hell out of me!! i'm diggin it, i just cant see spending that kind of money for a MINI suv!!!! less car for more dough, makes no sense....

I think I would rather get the Q5, excellent exterior and interior styling:

I really do like the Q5 also. Been an Audi fan for a while.
