So this weekend I installed my HID's with halo projector headlights but am not satisfied with the result. It seems that they are aiming downwards and outwards leaving the middle of the road with minimal lighting. I think my foglights light the the center of the road better than the HID's due to the bad aiming. When i tried fixing the alignment I used the wall in my garage and placed a piece of tape to measure the alignment, what I get is a downward semicircle from each headlight. In other words, it is half a circle with the circular part of the light reflecting down. Is this normal?? Is there a certain way the bulb is suppose to be installed? As far as i could tell you just slide the bulb and place the clip. Or do I just need to mess with the screws by either tightening or loosing them (the ones that hold the projector from the back of the headlight). I noticed these aftermarket headlights don't have the alignment screw like the factory ones making it more difficult. Please help!!!

A pic would help. Don't have these and don't know how they look, but they should not appear as circles, but rather as a straight line across with a step in the middle considering that they are projectors. If not then they are badly designed.

Those headlights should have adjustment screws in the back, they all do. Maybe not in the same position of the stock headlights but somewhere else. Someone else with these headlights should be able to help you soon.

unfortunately, the light output on those projector headlights will not get any better, even with HIDs. there should be an adjustment screw or knob but don't expect a big improvement over the beam pattern you see now.

Go here to Advance Auto Parts' website http://www.advanceautoparts.com/english/youcan/safety_projects.asp and click on "Aim Headlights". It's a general guide to aim ones headlights.
