Post counts. As you post more and your Post Count progresses it'll change.

This is the breakdown on Shift_Titles:

SHIFT_Lurker 0-49 posts
SHIFT_Newbie 50-249
SHIFT_Enthusiast 250-999
SHIFT_Hardcore 1000 and up

Lurker (someone who just hangs around reads doesn't post much)
Newbie (minimum 50 posts still new to posting)
Enthusiast (minimum 250 posts)
Hardcore (minimum 1000 posts)

How would I start a new thread? The only way I can see to interact is to respond to other threads.

Click on "Forums" at the upper part of the page, towards the left side. Go to whatever "forum" you want, be it Performance Mods, interior, etc. Once that page is open there is a "button" for NEW THREAD. That will open a box where you can go from there.
