anyone have any issues with exhaust leaks from the stock system? are gasket failures common at all? i dont know where its leaking, but when you get on it hard and have the windows down you can definately hear it. my wife thought something was fallling off the car! just wondered if this is a common deal that might be covered by a tsb or something. thanks guys.

Yes it is. I had mine replaced at 55,000 miles. It is part of the 6 year 60,000 mile warranty. If they give you grief I would push it or go to another dealer. Because it is a part of it.

I had mine replaced at 58k. They warrantied with no questions!

Same here, I here the leak coming from somewhere. Sounds like a beat up old Chevy taking off.

I knowi have a leak on my qx56 but the dealer tells me its coming from my gibson exhaust and its aftermarket.

i had a leak near the y-pipe

put another clamp on it and that was it

i gotta get mine on a rack at work and check it out. problem is it doesnt do it all the time.

I recently thought my Exhaust Manifold was cracked but the Tech used some Screw type Hose Clamps around my Exhaust Pipes to tighten the Heat Shields below the Cats against the pipe and the sound hasn't returned. I'm impressed and thinking that maybe some of us may have Heat Shields clattering and not realize that's the cause because it doesn't sound like that's what it would be.
