: What do you make?
armadaTrip 06-06-2005, 11:58 PM I see a lot of nice rides, hooked up armadas! Just figured it would be interesting to see what everyone makes, feel free to list what you do too.
Gotta know what funds the Armada $$ bucket :D I make $13k a year at Wendy's, but hey, I still have a 'Mada, thankfully!!
All stock for now, not forever.
Big O 06-07-2005, 12:01 AM Wow how do you pay for an Armada makeing 13,000. I am in the Army make around 62,000 with all my extras but wife works also.
weezr17 06-07-2005, 06:39 AM This will be interesting to see how many people post their earnings.
I'm unemployed at the moment....well...not totally.....I'M A MOMMY! It's work but don't get paid for it. HA, stay home Moms should get paid!
My husband makes the $$$ but I don't think he would be happy if I posted it. SORRY. :(
DaArmaDa 06-07-2005, 08:14 AM I end up making about -10k a year, haha.
SykoArmada 06-07-2005, 08:51 AM Yep sounds right after taxes. Did you want gross or net earnings? With or without overtime...me just being a wisea$$.
I make about 50K a year without OT.
Wifey makes more than me, but she has a degree so she better.
Syko
sinnerFA 06-07-2005, 10:48 AM Last Year I reported $89,872 (Salaried + Quarterly bonus's).... Like I said though, it's only what I reported :) My wife also makes some good money $50k a year when she does full time (we recently had baby #2, so she is part time and getting approx. half)
inqui-Z-tor 06-07-2005, 06:19 PM won't disclose income .. but did pay cash for the armada .. lol!
bbeanan 06-08-2005, 10:52 AM Paid CASH too...
I'm in the over $big number range per year this year... (it's a good year)
Rossi 06-08-2005, 11:24 AM damn you guys suck!!! Guess I better start slangin some rock on the side....
I posted $54,000 and the wife $30,000....
Ok...what are you guys doing to make 100k-300k a year...gotta know...gotta know!! I don't even have to like it....as long as you show me the money!!!
Kucimat 06-08-2005, 01:01 PM We don't own an Armada yet...waiting for the '06 model year to emerge and hoping they've fixed the major rattles, shakes, etc. Love this vehicle, though and have ruled out darned near everything else.
My wife and I are in the $175K to $199K range annually. We'll probably put about half down and finance the other half when we purchase our new '06 LE with technology package and DVD player in November/December '05. Looking at either Galaxy or Red Brawn as a color.
PumaFiveOh 06-08-2005, 02:50 PM Paid CASH too...
I'm in the over $250k range per year this year... (it's a good year)
In your profile it says you are a home theater designer.....I don't see how your making $250K a year by doing that...especially in Vegas. You must be doing really well gambling or own your own buisness, but even then with over head you won't be anywhere near $250K.
Most of the other people on here are also inflating their salaries atleast by 5K-20K a year. I've seen some of the salaries and housing costs in other states and I don't believe the salaries are as high as some of the ones you guys are posting. Unless you live here in CA or in NY or something.....we all get paid higher salaries but that doesn't mean **** when the cost of living is so high on both coasts. (Especially in CA)
Rossi 06-08-2005, 04:55 PM damn...another person to make me feel inadequate....
Poohdaddy 06-08-2005, 05:09 PM 42k a year
need more more more

What state do you live in? I know here in CA you can at least work at In & Out and get paid like $9.50-$10.00 bucks an hour and you'll be making atleast $19K-$21K a year.
I'm assuming you're still really young...my advice would be to drop the boat ancor Armada payments and save your money. Get a beater...finish school and use your money to buy a house. Once you have a house you can buy all the cars you want...take out equity loans or whatever you want. A car is the worst investment anyone can make, I say get out of that ridiculous situation you're in now and start saving. Your $13K a year will hardly pay for the gas let alone the car payments. And don't take my advice the wrong way...I'm looking out for your best intrest. ;)

And you own an armada? 250k is ferrari-level (with ease) income. Most people I know people who make 150k who drive continental gt's, and have enough left to make a $4k/mo mortgage payment, and live nicely without living in the 'out of your means' style.
Time to upgrade to a ferrari dude! :)
PS: just remembered my buddy with the Lambo gallardo who makes 120/yr :) (has an H2, and a lexus is300 also)

I must reply to this one. The Armada is the best looking SUV and great to drive. I probably would buy the Armada while working at Wendy's, too. So I have no advise for you.
A friend of mine bought a BRAND NEW BMW M3 while he was working at a restaurant. The restaurant owner was a cosigner.
I have so many friends working with me at Microchip Technology, and they know I joined club Armada. They are checking my posts, so I could not disclose my income, sorry. They might laugh at me because I make less than them. But they know that I made one payment for the '05 Max and 0 down for the Armada at 2% for 60 months. They call the Armada, "The Fleet".
I still drive my '94 Nissan truck to work and the Armada in the garage for long trip and take the family for a drive. The wife drives the Max to work.

Design Studio another start up this company uses some very high end software and hardware to simulate the lighting for tours, nightclubs, events, tradeshows and other show type stuff

But I work my *** of 5:30am till 11 pm 7 days a week.
And if this success keeps up then yes the next car will be a lambo...

That's not what I heard over on CT!

Haha, inflating 5k-20k a year.... I know housing costs are going up all over.... I used to live in Maryland/D.C. area and the housing costs are up there too... Now I live in PA where I had a new home built for 325k, which would have cost me easliy ~600-750k in Md/D.C. areas... Oh well... :goteam:

Like I said I paid my dues with many years making very little money... and once I made some money this year I invested in other businesses and other ways to make more money... It's all about spreading out your money so that it makes you more money... but make sure you do not put all of your eggs in one basket (I did that before and went from $175k a year to $30k per year almost overnight).
So now I take all the money I make and invest it into new businesses with the goal being that each business pays me a small amount each month for my investment, busness sense, managment, and help...
I got the Armada because I needed a large car to drive my clients around in, I also spend a lot of time at construction sites so I need a truck style car for driving in the dirt.
And I paid cash because I had gotten a big commision check and I wanted to be debt free, my financial advisors kick me for doing it as they wanted me to invest the money in something that would net a return vs. a loss.

There was no need to justify yourself bro, just keep doing what you’re doing and stack that money. I totally respect hard working people.
And in reply to that guys comment on buying a "Baller Car", I ask WHY?? As a matter of fact most of my friends and people I know making over $150K a year DO NOT drive Bentley’s and Ferrari’s. Those people got there by being smart and making good investments (Like yourself) not by being stupid *** rap star and movie star wannabes and wasting money on Ferrari's. One of my best friends is 25 and owns 4 houses and makes around $180K a year by just doing loans....and the so called "Baller" cars that he owns are both leased...not only are the payments write-offs for him, but he has to have the "Baller Status" image to look good/ successful and obtain more clients. So in that situation I think it's okay.
Anyway, I think the Armada is an awesome car...especially for someone in your business. So good luck and wish you much success. :2cool:
The Beast 06-09-2005, 08:20 PM Excuse me PumaFiveOh,
But some people may take offense at that stupid a@# rap star comment especially because those to whom you are reffering, with the exception of M&M, are of a particuliar ethnic persuasion. Now I don't know how everyone else feels about it, but the only person who can spend their money is the one to whom it belongs, and whether or not it was spent wisely can only be determined by the one who spent it. So pump your brakes because you are not the only one with an opinion, no matter how skewed it is. And I hope Club Aramda is not that type of Club becuase if so I don't want to be a part of it. And before you go saying you didn't mean anything by it. There's an old saying that goes a drunk mouth speaks a sober mind, and the truth is revealed in joking. So think twice speak once.

jerseyparts 06-09-2005, 09:21 PM MY god, how fast this post went the downward spiral, I do fairly well, but I work for a fortune 250 company, I am expected to do well! I don't drive fancy cars, and I don't spend money like it is water, because that is not how I was brought up... I live the way I wish to live, and I work hard for my money.
I would never push my values or opinions on other people, but I would help anyone out that asked for help....
(No Rossi, i will not buy you a house! but i will tell you how to do it smartly!! LOL!)
Rossi 06-09-2005, 11:20 PM I already have a house....but you can make the montly payments if you like!!! Nah...we always post between 80-100k between the two of us...I have no complaints...always seem to have what I want and so forth. Never don't do anything cause the money isn't there. I would love to be at the income level of some of these other people...but for now I can live. Just don't have the know how I guess to do some of the stuff listed earlier. But yes....there are some comments in this thread that are getting harsh.
I don't make squat but between my wife and I, we broke $200 K last year. We have 2 kids and 2 homes. This year may not be as good. But who knows.
Cillyone 06-10-2005, 01:26 AM I believe this thread was a bad idea and does not promote the kind of atmosphere that is conducive to friendly, informative and helpful conversation about the Armada, which is why we should be here, I know that’s why I am. Whatever our personal financial situation is should be kept personal. This topic does not belong here, maybe at best in the “off topic” category.
armoody 06-10-2005, 01:49 AM ....best in the “off topic” category.
Yes, I think this is kind of off topic. But while I'm here, I'll tell ya what I make....after a little bit of $aving, I make EXACTLY what I spend!! :amazing:

I couldn't agree more. I think we need to bring it to an end.
