I had a problem where my a/c started blowing hot air while iddling in 113 degree weather. took it to the dealer and they confirmed that everything is normal in my truck. My fan is working fine. it comes on when the compressor gets too hot, I am okay with antifreeze and there are no leaks in my system. The problem was that it was sooo hot that even with the fan blowing it did not make a difference. the compressor shut down. the outside temperature, the engine heat, the road heat plus just sitting there was too hot for just one fan. I would think that adding an extra fan would help. I am looking into adding a fan controlled manually by a switch would help some. I have noticed that this problem manly happens in California, Nevada and Arizona where it gets extremely hot. now that I know how our a/c's work I am glad it shut down and don't have to worry about replacing a blown compressor. comments??? We did see this one but it is for 2005-2006 Titan/Armada and indeed it is a recall but I have a 2004.
