Has anyone run into a problem at parking garages at airports where there is a 7 foot clearance pipe hanging overhead with a warning...I would think that anything higher than the standard 18" wheels wouldn't clear. I always hit the brakes and go under real slow even with my 18" wheels just in case it hits the roof rack.

The parking garage at Circus Circus casino in Reno, NV. sure has low decks. I skimmed under the height bar and it rubbed my roof rack for sure with a clunk. Thankfully it was only painted PVC pipe and it didn't do any damage or scratch. I was in an 08 LE with stock 20's. Let's be careful out there......

At that height (7') you will only have a problem if your Armada has a lift. The Armada w/roof rack is only 6' 4.3" in hieght.
I always fit into 7' just fine with my Mini-Lift and 33's. Even 35's would only add about another 1/2" and I would still fit fine. We'll clear 7' easy with anything less than a 4" lift-kit. PHD007 drove mine through the Caesar's Palace parking garage and he started out slowing down thinking we were going to hit until I told him not to worry because we'll clear the entire garage. Just takes some getting used to. If you park with your front crossbar under one of those 7'0" clearance bars and step out onto your running board, you'll see there's a whole lot more room than you suspected.
I drove into a parking garage that one of the clearance bars was marked at 7' but it was actually hanging lower from poor maintenance and I nailed it with my front crossbar. The crossbar is just fine with some minor scratches.
