A few weeks ago I pulled out my Nav CD to see what version I had. Since putting the same CD back in, my Nav screen is stuck on Southern Cali.

Any ideas how to fix it.

I was thinking its stuck because I am soooo far north that the system cant see the satellites. I checked and I get plenty of satellite coverage, so that isnt it.

Ideas?

Yea that wont work. I live in Alaska (Fairbanks) and the map, when it was working, only shows a blue screen.

So, if I cant get it fixed, I dont mind looking at Southern California only because I know its warmer down there. But when I leave Alaska next year, I would like it to work.

Does the nav disk cover Alaska? Was it working before in AK?
or maybe your truck just saying it want to move to CA.:D

I think its saying it wants to move to Cali. Last winter (when is was -54 outside) when I turned it on, the Nav came up and acutally said...."go back inside, its tooooooooooo cold out here".

The maps dont have anythign for Alaska on them. I know that when it was working properly I would see nothing but blue. The arrow would actually move directions which would mirror my direction.

Now, it is stuck in Southern Cali. I wish "they" would come up with maps for up here,,,or give us something that would work. I cant even get what type maps they are using so I can find my own map.

Its actually pretty cool being stuck. I was driving around LA today. Funny thing is, the temp said 51.

BBF, I did the system test on it today. Nothing wrong. It just thinks I am in LA. It travels and turns as if I was in Cali. Weird.
