Hey guys...

After pondering for a long time what to get, I decided to go the non-catback route. Found a muffler shop around my work and well...

I got a Magnaflow installed on the Armada. After a short conversation and price dickering, I got the Magnaflow (18" version) installed for $250 and I got to select a new chrome tip. Yeah, I know... it's not the greatest deal but I figured if I ordered it online I'd have to pay shipping too (and tax). Then I'd have to pay for the install. End result... it was an ok deal.

Now for those wondering... what does it sound like? Well... it has a nice rumble to it, but only slightly louder than stock at idle. However, it is a bit louder once you mash on the pedal. Not annoyingly loud like a Suburban with a cr@ppy muffler job, but it's good. Good for me at least.

If you want it louder, then I would suggest having them cut off the resonator. But then again, that could really open it up.

Drone? --- None yet. Not even the slightest bit of resonance. So overall... I wouldn't mind if it were a bit louder... but, itwould only be a matter of time before it got annoying. So for now... this is good.

I went with the 18" magnaflow exhaust as well but I did the full cat-back system did not cut off any resonators and WOW is my ride loud... it really rumbles when I step on it. When I am just cruising there is a mean rumble, which sounds really intimidating. Its awesome! 250 is a bit pricey... were they an authorized installer? Did you get your own registration card for the muffler? I purchased the Magnaflow SS tip from magnaflow.com ( I recommend it, it looks really sick, its got the BRANDED MAGNAFLOW on it..... I will take pics of it and post them.

guess I didn't notice it being too much louder because I already had a CAI which I got used to. But without the drone... It works for me. :)
