Just joined the club. We have a 04 Armada Se (love it) without the tow package. Just wondering what the difference is with or without the tow package. I checked at the dealer they said it was just the temp gauge and installed hitch. They said they put the same rear end in each Armada. We have a tow rating of 6500 lbs without the tow package. We tow a 3000lb pop-up camper with no problems at all. Looking at buying a travel trailer (26' 4500LBS -5000lbs loaded). Just looking for input if the Armada can handle this camper o.k.

Gearing is different, trans. cooler, class iv hitch, heavy duty battery....that's what I remember- there might be more.

you have a tow rating of "6500lbs"
guess that would be the kicker
mine is "9000lbs"

You also get the auto leveling with Big Tow. 9,100# tow capacity, with 910# tongue weight.
