hey fellas....im new to the forum and need some help

when ever i turn off my 05 qx56 i here fluids dripping and settling. i look under the car and not a drop, fluids must be falling into which ever pan it belongs to. i just bought the car and dont know if this noise is normal. no warning lights come up and the driving is fine...is this a concern?

thanks in advance...

Welcome to the Club atorreon.

As for your dripping noise, it's normal for your AC to drip condensation, but other fluids should not drip at all.

You might want to slide under your ride and take a look to see if you can find out what type of liquid is dripping.

Welcome to CA atorreon!

Might be the manifold/exhaust just colling off.

Welcome to CA atorreon!

Might be the manifold/exhaust just colling off.

That's right, my armada (and my other cars) make a noise similar to a dripping/popping sound from the exhaust/manifold cooling off.

sounds good...thanks for the help, im gonna bring it to the dealership to check it out.

i've looked around for armada/qx56 forums and this appears to be the only good one out there!

normal, especially for a bigger engine that blows lots of heat out. If you want to prove it to yourself, lay down on ground beside the next time you stop after a good drive. Get close enough and you'll hear it directly from cat or pipes - just be careful not to singe your ear :( kidding, probably can't crawl under unless you have lift

I have the same noise from my 07 qx56.

The crackling noise is a lot less noticeable on my armada (however I am using magnaflows on gibson pipes)
