I have tried the directions paosted on the forum to reset the ECU in my 04 Armada at least 3 times with no success. I now have 106K miles on the beast and the bottom end performance is suffering dramatically. I thought it might be agood idea to reset everything and then have the timming advance done again and go from there. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

I don't think there is a need to reset the ECU. The system adapts to the style of the driver. Go to a remote road and make several WOT runs, 0-60. I think you will see the performance return.

That's the way I drive normally! It feels slower from the start then before the timming advance I had done last year.
You might try going to Autozone and pickup some MAF Sensor Cleaner and follow the directions on the can. I cleaned mine last week and it seemed to help a little, but I recently cleaned and re-oiled my K&N drop-in too which could've caused a little oil buildup.

Doesnt disconnecting the battery for 48hours reset the ecu?
This is one of them "my mate told me" facts!

No, that doesn't reset the ECU.
No, that doesn't reset the ECU.
Disconnect the battery... AND pump the brakes 3+ times.
That'll do it.
Although, I'm in agreement with scr... not sure how useful an ECU reset would be, if at all.
Good luck.
