: Extended Warranty Question

I guess I maybe out of line here, but I'm getting totally annoyed with the Extended Warranty process. The dealerships here are wanting me to bring the Armada in for them to look at then send it in to Nissan Warranty Dept to see if it's covered or not. It really ticks me off that they cannot tell me ahead of time!!! If it's not covered, I really don't want to be flipping the bill for their service and a rental car.. Why the heck can't they tell me what's covered and what's not???? That just chaps my hide.

Does anyone know where to find the listed details other than having to dig out my paperwork?

Thanks!! I may have to call the 1-800 number. I just think that rivet for the liftgate bracket should be covered under the "Body & Interior" since it's not Soft Trim. I guess I'll look for details in the paperwork tonight and print that PDF out to take in with me. I'm starting to think the whole Rental Car part of the thing is useless for a one-day repair, and this thing is worthless for anything less than a major breakdown.

I may just have to put a call in for this cat to come out and fix it:

I can't say really, because I think it depends on when you get it. I got the Security + Gold when I bought the Armada.

To my knowlege, that should be covered. It has been a while since I have fooled with extended waranty, and it changes every year.If that is just a riv-nut, it's not that hard to install after you get it drilled out. The PITA part is removing the upper lugside to get to it.

I found the brochure to my warranty and it should be covered. To my surprise, the entire exhaust system is excluded and that's why it got denied for me last time. I just really wish the Service folks would be able to relay whether an item is covered or not rather than telling me they'll know after looking at it.

Has anyone purchased an extended warranty subsequent to their vehicle purchase? I am considering that and not sure if I can only purchase at a dealer or if there are other places.
