Welcome! I'm guessing since you are on this forum that you are interested in a Nissan product. Titan is a good choice, but you can also go with a Pathfinder. A Maxima would be a good choice since it just had it's redesign so the previous model fell in $ so an 04 with around 80k. Here is one:

I am a firm believer that when getting a car used it is better to go with one that has higher miles but a newer year vs. lower miles and older year. This is because I think that people with higher miles have a mindset to get all the maintenance done because they rely on the car. Also these miles are usually highway miles and there is a much lower chance that that car was involved in a wreck. Carfax doesn't show all accidents so when there are very low miles on cars that are not exotic, it makes me think that they spend a lot of time sitting in a body shop getting fixed up. Just something to think about:)

harry, i joined like 2 months ago, just havent been posting. been spending most of my time on z71tahoe/suburban. btw, they totally shot down the idea of a titan. they said its gets crappy gas milage, but who cares.. dads paying... and other guy said the 05 has hellla rear end problems.. but i shouldnt have as much with the 04 axel.. right?o, and they were going by consumer reports... soooo....yea.... hahahaha

Consumer Reports often provide skewed and outdated information.

check out an xterra. my step-brother bought one about a year ago. he got an '01 with a v6, 5-speed, 4x4 with like 80k on it for 7800. check craigslist in your area, there are usually plenty to choose from.

I defintely think an X-Terra is great for a young person. My son owns one also.

i would rather trust a small child than consumer reports about cars. they're good at reviewing vacuum cleaners but thats about it, 92TB can vouche for me. I'm for the Titan, the trutrac takes care of the weak dana 44 diff. Burb Alex wants the titan for the engine tranny combo. He's had first hand experience of the power of the VK56DE.
