my friend has a tacoma. he believes he is faster than me. if we lived in the same state i would just race him. any sites. why is that info so hard to find??

I have an '08 Armada and an '06 Tacoma 4x4...The Armada is faster but not by much. My Tacoma is lifted with 32" Mud Terrains and I can almost keep up with it in a straight race. If he has the Xrunner than it's a toss up.

i have a qx56 i raced a tacoma while i was running 87 octane. i beat it easily by 4-6 car lengths. i have a video ill post later.

my '03 v6 5-speed tacoma was really fast for a truck, but the mada takes it for sure. the newer tacos, i dont know, they have quite a bit more power, and the 6-speed. i would think itd be close.

I care, thats why i asked the question. you are always saying same thing when someone asks about the mada racing something else. what u are saying is u should only race if u have a lambo or a vet??

no, you can race whatever you want. i just really dont understand whats so enthralling about racing a 5000lbs suv against, well, anything. i enjoy smoking the tahoe that pulls up next to me, but to actually plan a race, or check 0-60 times, or whatever, i just dont get the point. i race my zx-10r, and that to me is exciting. i guess after racing my streetbike the 5000lbs soccer mom rig doesnt do it for me.

we all have opinions, and norcal05se is entitled to have his. I on the other hand just enjoy the whole experience of racing. Its fun to just go fast. IMO

Most street racing only lasts for a 1/2 block or less, and that's where the Armada/Titan excel. You're darn right it's fun to blow away a $40,000+ car, just don't tangle with the newer Vettes...lol.

Most street racing only lasts for a 1/2 block or lessbut the repercussions will last your lifetime if you kill some innocent family on the street. Others above have noted track racing, that's cool if your thing is to race a big heavy SUV, street racing not so bright IMHO. If you really must beat some soccer mom in her SUV, might be smarter to go pay the fee at a track.

Funny thing - sport car forums mostly ban talk of street racing, so as to not encourage such negligence. Guess the founders of this great forum could never have imagined talk of street racing a big SUV, designed so well for so many other things.

How far is a 1/2 block? You're thinking over 50-70 MPH. That's not the case, I said 1/2 block or less, so that means 40-45 MPH tops in a 45 MPH speed zone. If you think that endangers someones life, then so be it. I always go to the track for anything over what I posted, that only makes sense.

I have seen video's of the QX56 racing a FX45 from a dead stop and they are dead even. A QX56 will dust a FX35. Ask me how I know.

WOW thats impressive. Those Fx's are rated at 6.1 seconds to 60 and a mid 14s 1/4 mile. I really wasn't expecting the Qx to be that quick.
