BlakSpyda 12-17-2008, 08:57 PM The only "Bug" I see so far is, things I have posted today do not appear on the main page when refreshed. In order to see new posts in all forums, you have to go to the "Forum" page and view what is in Bold print or go to new post.
They way it was before, when you open up on the home page, the newest posts were there and the number of new posts since I was on the page last.
cpaul 12-17-2008, 09:53 PM It log me out when I tried to post.

I will check into it. It may be a setting somewhere, I will see if I can make it the way it was.

Is it still happening to you? Do you get an error message or anything?

BlakSpyda 12-18-2008, 12:47 PM Thanks Nadeem!:D
cpaul 12-18-2008, 10:32 PM Thanks, no it hasn't, but something I didn't think about mentioning it till after I logged off, It is very slow to load from section to section. Say going from Problems to General discusion or Home. It just sticks at the dark grey screen and I sometimes have to close the window and start over. I don't think it is my conection because on here I am using a Sprint Aircard and at work I have a T1 line and I get it with both.
BlakSpyda 12-18-2008, 10:53 PM Pages do load very slowly!
scr38 12-19-2008, 12:14 AM Which browser are you using? My pages load instantly, using Firefox. If I switch to IE the pages load slowly.

Same here, there have been quite a few problems with the new IE.

BlakSpyda 12-19-2008, 12:58 PM OK, now that I have been educated on FireFox, I may load it on my home PC. Thanks.

Stryker 12-20-2008, 02:05 PM Yeah - My IE is very slow loading pages here as well - might just try out FF - Wifey is a CompGrafx Designer in NYC and that is all that they use at work - just faster 'So she says' - then again if I listened to her all of the time I just may not have my Armada
CdnInAz 12-20-2008, 04:39 PM I've been intending to try FireFox for a while, I like the latest layout of IE but it seems to be getting slower everyday, something I was really noticing since this Club's update (all those banners were killing me). The posts above convinced me to take the time for install. WOW, holly smokes, what a difference. And to top it off, I'm still able to have two things I thought I'd have to sacrifice:
1. multiple tabs (introduced at IE7) - they are available in FireFox
2. the Google toolbar which I like for its spell check and its autofill - there is a version especially for FireFox
So my advise to any members who are living with IE as it has been getting slower and slowerrrrrr - go ahead take the plunge to FireFox.
scr38 12-20-2008, 05:50 PM I have watched to see what is going on when the pages load slowly. You can see in the attachment what the holdup is.

Same here, same IE as I had for the "old" site which was way faster. And the instant Ads or whatever they are called are annoying.
BlakSpyda 12-29-2008, 05:42 PM The adds went away for me after I became a http://www.clubarmada.com/forums/images/misc/member_lifetime.gif
Cillyone 12-30-2008, 03:52 AM Let me get this straight...so even though I have been a member almost from the start (2004), I now have to pay to be a "Premium Member" to avoid the stupid ads? True loyalty works both ways in my book.

You can turn off the Intellitxt ads in your user CP.

CdnInAz 01-07-2009, 02:19 PM You can turn off the Intellitxt ads in your user CP.Nadeemplease tell us how - I just looked and cannot find any "turn off". According to this page (http://www.clubarmada.com/forums/payments.php), "less advertising" is not available for "free memberships".
scr38 01-07-2009, 05:40 PM As Nadeem said, you do this in your User CP.
At the top of the page click on UserCP, then click on Edit Profile. Scroll down the page to click on the circles for your choices.

hVcGHOST 01-14-2009, 05:16 PM Firefox is great. In my opinion Firefox runs a lot smoother than IE (Internet Explorer). Also, Fox is a lot more secure than IE.
Might want to try Google Chrome the new Browser by google. I honestly use Chrome more than I use any other browser right now. Its just awesome, it looks cool, its fast as heck. Its faster than most browsers because it uses cache browsing. Some people may or may not like this. I think its awesome. Plus you have Incognito browsing which is kind of the new feature for IE7 and 8 which is InPrivate browsing which clears your cache and browsing history when you exit. (For us guys that like to surf on the not so clean sites, :) )
hullio 01-15-2009, 10:40 PM Bugs: too many ads
