My 2004 Armada with 70,000 mi is showing its age. The back-up sensors began working intermittently but now have stopped. Dealer says bad sensor(s) and wants $600 to replace. Does anyone know where I can purchase oem sensors? Also my left manifold is cracked. Long story short Nissan won't stand behind them and I figured after market headers and exhaust is probably cheaper. Any suggestions on a complete system? Lastly I have the dreaded 'creaking' noise from the front end suspension when it is cold - has anyone found the culprit? Thanks!

You can find the sensors here:

The exhaust manifolds are part of the emissions control system, since the cats are welded to them. By federal law, all emission parts have a 80K mile warranty.
For the creaking noise, try spraying the stabilizer bar rubber bushings with a silicone lubricant.

You know you may want to try aftermarket back up sensors... most OEM use the same as the aftermarket ones just re branded. But most of these sensors are 2 wire and if this is also the case for the Armada then you should be able to fit an aftermarket one in. Can anyone confirm this?

Is that all I have to do! You know I cannot duplicate it when I take it to the dealer.

To duplicate it you have to have some kind of drop of a 2-3 inches or so. Thats the only time it does it on mine.

I just had my 2nd manfold replaced (78k) in October. The dealer said "no", called Nissan consumer affairs, got a file #, went back to the dealer and the answer was "YES".
It IS covered under the emission warranty.

Even after the warranty is up there is an "Implied" warranty that exhaust manifolds last longer than 80k. If Nissan wont replace them take them to court, you will win. In addition, Nissan is aware of the problem and continue to build an inadequate manifold. Hold their feet to the fire.
