I have read around on the process of lowering one of these hogs and was wondering why we couln't use the Titan lowering springs in the rear. Is it due to the fact that springs are made for the heavier weight up front with the engine, and you wont get the 2" drop out back? Just looking for a little insight.
Thanks

The Armada has IRS, with coil springs. The Titan has a solid rear axle with leaf springs. Two completely different suspension systems.

Thanks captain obvious but i was talking about using the lower springs that are made for the front of the titan in the rear of the mada.

Wow no need for remarks as you made, he was answering your question, and knows a lot about the mada.

But to answer your question, you can not use the front springs of a titan on the rear of the mada, if you use them, it will raise your vehicle a bit more, and make the ride worse, since these springs are designed to hold up the weight of the entire engine.

Maybe you should've said that then. Rude replies like that will NOT be tolerated here. If they were allowed, I'd tell you to look at them and see for yourself.
Good luck getting an answer now. http://www.titantalk.com/forums/images/smilies/bangin.gif

First off that was a Joke, secondly if you read the first post i wrote it clearly ask if the reason they are not used is because of them carrying the extra load from the engine. NO offense meant by the comment. I would like to apologize to scr38.

Jokes go in the "Off Topic" section and are usually at least a little funny. Name calling does not have a forum section on here other than somewhere in the "Delete" button.

No, that's not the only reason. You'll see why when you look at them.

Thats fine with me. If the thread is that offensive i have no problem having it deleted seeing as i put it in the wrong place and offended all of yall. Dont worry no more joking from me. Like i said i already apologized, on this thread and on a PM. Thats all i can do. I am used to being on forums where that would not have been considered offensive. But I should get to know people before I joke around with them. Sorry. again.

No problem. It wasn't that clear to me that you were talking about using a Titan front coil on the rear of a Armada.
But to answer your question - No, that won't work. The spring rates are far different, and the dimensions are nowhere close.
