I found it on here a while back?? Can't seem to locate thread now.

My question; I installed xm receiver in 05 armada LE with Nav. works great with the exception of not being able to change channels with the steering wheel controls.

Is it possible to do this? I thought I had read that it was NOT?? but can't remember

If it is possible how do I make it that way???

Thanks in advance

If you hold the up and down for 3 second it will go to the beginning of of the XM channel music type... ie 10, 20, 30, ....

I don't think they user tested this xm radio in the car....

I didn't know this.....I thought all we could do with the steering wheel controls was cycle through the presets. I'll have to try this. Awesome!

Yup just hold it down for about 3sec and it switches to the next station.

Tried this on my 06, and holding it caused the radio to switch to the next Category (i.e. from Rock to Country), rather than the next station. I could not get it to switch to the next station with the dash button, only from pre-set to pre-set, and by holding it, from Category to Category. I have the factory installed Nav system.

You've got it right... that is all you can do with the wheel controls.

However, you can use the voice commands to change to a specific station:

"Satellite radio 130" eTc.....
