Hi Guys Check Out My Ride... Still More Upgrades To Come...

Too much for me. The rims are too tall. Makes any SUV/Truck a street only vechicle, kills handling if you get too small on rubber, bad ride, lower mileage, slower acceleration, prone to bending rims on potholes/dirt roads, bad in snow, lowers towing capacity, and looks too common now.

The only purpose I can see is they scream look how much money I spent implying I have a lot of money, you don't; a message I don't want to send even though I do have a lot of money. Spinners send the same message as do gold teeth.

I got 20s because I wanted larger AT tires and I had to go to 20s to get the overall outer size I wanted. Would have stuck to stock 18s if I could have. Don't feel like I'm busting on you, I bust mildly on 22s and hard if larger than 22. Sorry, not for me. Just makes an SUV (U for Utility) into a rough riding van to me. ;)

Triple black,

If you dont have anything nice to say, dont type it. Leave your negative opinions to yourself.

Triple black,

If you dont have anything nice to say, dont type it. Leave your negative opinions to yourself.
Why?

Why does everything have to be a positive ego stroke? Don't people want to know that not everyone likes something?
EX: If I was walking around with a chicken on my head, I wouldn't want everyone to say cool chicken or say nothing. I'd like the guy who's saying nothing say," Yo fool, you got a chicken on your head!"
Criticism improves things and keeps things in perspective. I fully respect him for saying go scratch I like my rims. You're an old school geezer. I don't respect the PC, "Respect his feellings" crap and actually find that the only thing offensive in this post so far.

its the same msg you scream when you post all of your rides and MODs. or are you exactly like us in that we enjoy having nice things, but at the same time having different taste and opinions.

as you have made you opinions known, i will make mine. i've seen several threads that you've said the same thing over and over.

you've made your point, we understand you don't like larger rims on the 'mada. enough! in all honesty, i don't care much for your red 'mada with those rims.......but i keep it to myself. how would it sound if i expressed my dislike for lifted trucks....and i do it for every single thread about lifted truck. would get old real quick! it doesn't benefit anyone if i express my negative opinions. do what most ppl do, if someone posts pics and you don't like it.....move on! i only expressed my opinion this time since personally, i've gotten sick and tired of seeing you almost "enforcing" your opinions on everyone.

sorry for the rant, but enough is enough. :damn:

What's wrong with everyone? Why does everyone feel they should have an ego stroke every time they get new dopey rims? Why is everyone so fragile they can't take criticism anymore? Give me a break. Don't like lifted trucks, please say so every time. I don't give what I can't take. I'm not attacking anyone personally, I'm saying I don't like a stupid rim. I can also say that I've had many times over postitive comments about other peoples things as well.

Sorry, but I'm from NYC and its who I am. Not an excuse, but an explanation. If I don't like something I say so. I like your A/V setup, exhaust, etc. but as for the rims, if you can give me any reason a rim larger than 22" is worth buying besides looks and trying to project what I consider a negative image, I'm listening. Convince me, or skip the post.

first of all, who's lookin' for an ego stroke?! as i said before, just like the rest of us, you take great pride in your ride......as you obviously show off on your SIG.

and yes, i don't like lifted trucks......but to who's benefit would it be if i dropped in on every "lifted" thread?! we all are free to express our opinions, negative or otherwise, but the point i'm simply trying to make is that this forum would be a lot better place if you could control your the negative, "dopey" comments. just keep it to yourself bro, that's all.

lastly, i don't need to convince you or anyone else on this forum for that matter. but what i need to do it respect everyone's taste and understand that we all do not necessarily have to have the same taste in trucks or MODs. to each his own.

and i know all about you NY'ers....i married one! plus, from all the NY'ers i know.....they are far from being as negative and obnoxious as you are.

i'll leave you with one last thing......think before you type another reply!

Think think think,
whatever. I thought last time.
To me its a car. I have 4. I like what it does and really don't care much how it looks. No great pride in any of them. I 4 years I will get something better. If I wanted to show off I would have gotten a Hummer or better still a Porsche Cayenne Turbo. I take pride in who I am and what I do and not what I have.

As for negative, I'm not. If you read the vast majority of my posts are positive. I don't do any personal attacks or insult anyone. But if someone posts look at my 26" dumbs, what do you think, I'll let them know. Like rap music or tatoos, large wheels broadcast something about you. Some people like them, some don't. Not much middle ground. And I don't think most people realize that a good majority of the public doesn't like big wheeled SUVs or the people that drive them. I get as much negative comments as positive about my wheels. Wastes gas, waste of money, show off, thinks he's all this, junk, etc. from people I never met. And I only have 20" wheels with practical off road tires.

I like our SUVs, the people on the board, and most mods they do. I give advice and too me what is either positive or constructive criticism. Read or don't read, the choice is yours. And if you feel a post is too negative, get over it. Its some writing on a forum. Its not like I said you have a fat wife, which I've done in person to some people.

i prove my case!

let's admit it, we all take pride in our cars!! hell, you honestly think we're all on this forum 'cuz we really could care less about our 'made? furthermore, what do you think a SIG is for.....yes, a signature.......but more importantly, to "display" your ride and to take pride in it. you've done both, but yet you "really don't care much how it looks. No great pride in any of them." again, think my friend.

lately, you have some balls by telling someone their wife is fat.....have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately bud?

get's old quick!

he thinks being a NY'er gives him the right to be very opinionated and obnoxious. i've met plenty of friendly, polictically opinionated ppl....like i said, i married one! lol

he simply feels that we should be able to conform to his attitude and personality.....it's all about him. go figure.

OK guys, this has gone far enough. We don't tolerate personal attacks on anyone here. Everyone has their opinion and has the right to express it. But please do so without personal attacks. If you don't like a mod you are free to say so, but without calling anyone stupid or making similar remarks. Please check you PM's. Some of you have been sent a PM and others may receive one. We all want ClubArmada to stay the friendly forum it has been, with free exchange of ideas without personal attack. We will do whatever is necessary to keep it that way. If you feel you need to talk with a moderator or the administrator send a PM.
Thank you all for your help.

Well spoken you know the old adjative a opinon is like what?a_______ everyone has one.If you do your homework 22'' rims have the overall diameter as the 18'' factory rim wHEN fitted with the proper tire size 305-45-22. So the key is to get the proper tire which will make all the difference in the world. WE ARE ALL HERE BECAUSE WE ARE PROUD OWNERS THAT CARE AND WANT TO SHARE OUR JOY IF NOT GET A KIAAAAAAAAAAAA..... :chillpill :chillpill PS NICE, IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO SHOP 20'S CAN COST AS MUCH AS 22'S

I dont post to often unless I have something to say. I think everyone that posted against what TRiple said needs to ask themselves " why do I come to the forum, why do I post pics, why do I read posts" Well the reason is simple.
TO GET OPINIONS FROM OTHERS. It doesnt matter if they are good or bad, its what we want to hear, the problem comes when someone has negitive remarks, you dont want to hear it. THEN DONT READ AND DONT POST. And that is how the cookie crumbles.
ITS NOT PERSONAL GET OVER IT

i personally come to the forums so i can chat and socialize with LIKE MINDED ppl that share the same interests as i do! if there were a "lifted armada" thread or site, i wouldn't bother visiting or posting! cuz' you know why, cuz' it's not my cup of tea! now would it benefit me if i were to go in there and be negative?

i post pics cuz' i want to show off my pride and joy, just as i have a SIG with a pic! you honestly think ppl post pics so ppl can say the million reasons why you don't like the large rims?

i read posts to learn from others. now if i saw a thread reading "aramada 8' lift".....i move on to a thread that interests me! i don't bother going in there and say, "The only purpose I can see is they(larger rims) scream look how much money I spent implying I have a lot of money, you don't; a message I don't want to send even though I do have a lot of money." (btw Triple, nice to know you're modest about your riches! ) you speak of "negative" remarks above, you be the judge.

we all have the right to our opinions, but that doesn't mean you can't use common sense and thought behind it!

happy 4th everyone!

There goes triple again, yap yap yap. I'm from new york, we do this we do that. Quit claiming NY for an excuse to be the way you are. You should be ashamed of yourself putting ny'ers on the same boat as you. As I posted in another topic about someone trying to sell 24's.

92TB, Your a funny man. Look, everyone here knows your preference. Everytime some1 has a topic about wheels bigger than 20's your quick to let it be know why you are all go and no show. I respect the fact that your real opinionated when it comes to your stuff. The man is trying to sell an item and your quick to shoot down the auction with your comments. I dont think its so much the comment but how you come across it. Why even reply to the topic if you know damn well you aint for it. Look we all know your this big fan of trucks, Suv's and why it should remain with what ever you think it should have, But respect others preferences. You may know more about the damn thing than most which is great. We all should take some tips from you but be cool about it. I'm from Nor Cal and we have a little different taste than you boys out east.

And did see in a reply earlier in this topic about you calling some1's wife fat, then having a picture of you posted. How dare you, you should be ashamed of yourself.

As for the topic in hand. I wasnt a big fan of a whole lot of chrome on wheels but I must say I like these much more than others I've seen.

It doesnt matter if they are good or bad, its what we want to hear, the problem comes when someone has negitive remarks, you dont want to hear it. THEN DONT READ AND DONT POST. And that is how the cookie crumbles.

when I see a topic about larger rims that interest me. Its the reason for reading and posting on the topic. You say dont read and dont post, move on. But the point is I looked into the topic and BAM! Theres triple with his "opinions again". I dont want to go into a topic i like and see triples remarks. I think sometimes he may actually have something good to say to contribute to the the thread but he doesnt. It the same ol crap. Doesnt he think we know already about his feelings on larger rims. why keep on spreading the word on every single topic about it.

Even though we are free to express positives and negatives, I think we should all stay on the positive. There's a saying that goes If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it at all.
This board is not here to put each other down. I personally love cars, lifted or slammed alike. The notion that trucks are only meant to be offroad vehicles is crazy. Most of us drive our Armada's 99%-100% on the street. Maybe there's 10% of us who live up a dirt road or go rock crawling.

So even though we CAN say we don't like something, maybe it's better for us to pass on making a comment.

Let's stick to getting rid of rattles, cool mods, and beating the crap out of hemi's.
