I have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder and I'm finding the mileage disappointing. I'm experimenting with different Octane levels when I fill up. I'm in Canada - we can get 87, 89, 91 and 94 Octane level fuel.
I've been trying 94 for the last three fillups and haven't notice much difference. Before that I was using both 89 and 91 - seems to me the Pathfinder ran a little better on the mid range fuel.
Right now I figure I'm getting about 13 MPG around town - maybe up to 18 MPG highway - my wife is the main driver - mostly in town.
Has anyone done any experimenting and what did you notice. It's my understanding that Nissan recommends at least 91 Octane level fuel.
