I am SOOOOOOOOO glad he is gone. Jason Bay has filled in left field quite nicely and seems like a decent guy.

Although I heard someone talking today that Big Papi used to use steriods and his performance has slipped since he stopped taking them. I don't buy it. I can see where steroids would help you get ripped or a unusually large head (think Giambi) but I don't see how these drugs can help your swing timing. Who knows?

Swing timing - not really - but, a normal deep flyball is now a HR -- also muscle recovery is faster with than without

Manny is an idiot for taking anything remotely close to anything that would cause him to test positive for any banned substance, even if that means he can't get it up.

Same goes for Giambi, Gay-Rod, Bonds and anyone else that tests positive.

If Big Papi tests positive then I'd feel the same way about him too. And I wear his jersey to every Sox game I attend. (Maybe 5 or 6 a year.) I just hope he's smart enough to know when to say when, if in fact he has taken anything during his career.

I know a lot of players wouldn't be making what they do without taking steroids or 'PED's or whatever they want to call them. But with the pressure that MLB is under right now to catch these guys, it's just too risky. They deserve to lose 1/3 of their salary and ride the pine for the 50 games. Make them have to suit up and attend all 50 of them too. They got caught cheating, plain and simple.

honestly, i know this isnt possible, but if i were the commisioner, i'd kick em all out of baseball for good. test positive? you're done. i mean pete rose got kicked out for good for cheating, why not a-rod? seems like a bit of a double standard to me.

The stuff he took was to get his nades to work right again since he took roids in the past the killed his nades! lol
but either way he is out! he could have went to his team doc. and they would have gave the same nad boosting stuff to him and he would have been safe but he failed two other drug tests and now also out 7million that is what it's going to cost him for missing 50 games! omg 7million wow
