Bought a Nissan certified 08, which extends the manufacturers warranty, they talked me into an extended warranty in addition for $1200, they said regularly $1800, that covers everything buy wear items like pads. Have 30 days to get a refund, should i keep it> Please weigh in with thoughts on if it is worth it or not!!!

I paid $1549 for the 'Security+Plus - Gold' warranty when I bought my used 06. My impression is that I may have overpaid for it, but at least I can sleep at night knowing that if something major goes wrong it's already paid for.

FWIW I haven't had to take it in for any warranty work so far. It had 26,xxx on it when I got it 9 months ago and it now has just under 36,000. Others on here probably have more experience with these and could answer you with more info than I can.

I have the same security plus, the top of the line one, with no deductible paid 2000.00 for it. I say keep it because you never know. I have taken my in already and the job was paid in full.

1,200 is a good price.. it's a small price for piece of mind if you plan on keeping your Mada for a few years beyond the manufacturers warranty.
