Hey gang...

Just curious if there happens to be any 04' Pathfinder owners out there?

I previously owned both an 01' and an 03' Pathy - and to this day the model is still one of my favorites. I've come upon a pretty good deal (I think) on a used 2004 Nissan Pathfinder LE/Platinum 4x4 (w/ 52k miles), for ~$12k. Only issue is that it is in the states and I am in South Korea...so I would be relying on family members to give me the low down on the vehicle and also the test drive...but that shouldn't be an issue.

Like I said, having owned an 01' and an 03'...I'm pretty sure I know what I would be getting myself into. I'm a huge Nissan truck fan - in addition to the 2 PF's...I have owned 2 Xterras and 1 Armada. Yes, I change out vehicles way too much!!!! Hands-down my favorite was the Armada, but I am thinking about going the used route this time and getting a 03-04'ish Pathfinder. We are trying to keep our savings going so that we can buy a pretty nice house in about 8 years or so...and I may finally buy a used car for only the 2nd time in my life...which I am very leery of doing to be honest...

I'm not a huge fan of the newer-style PF's to be honest. Not really sure why, but maybe it is because I liked my 2 previous Pathy's just too much...

So, help me out...any 2004 owners out there?

I don't have an 04 but have an 02 SE 4x4, 68,000 miles and it still runs perfect..I've never had any major issues with it and will probably keep it till the paint rusts away or it croaks (long time before that's gonna happen) You could get the vin and run a carfax from SK so at least you'll know a little more about it to help in the interim.

As many of them as I see still on the road gives me the impression that they are very reliable.

Yeah, there are indeed quite a few of the 2001-2004 PF's still out there on the roadways.

I'm still thinking about everything...but I think I have completely ruled out buying anything newer than 2006 ($$ constraints due to the fact that we are saving as much as possible to buy some property in a few years). After previously owning a 06' Armada SE - I had really wanted a 10' Armada Platinum....but I can't justify the $$ right now. I have to purchase 2 vehicles in the next 7 months (1 for me and 1 for the wife) so I can get 2 pretty nice used vehicles (or even 1 used Armada and 1 new (whatever she wants)) for the price of the 10' Armada Platinum.

I'm looking at an 06' Armada LE on ebay right now, and it's ~$18k...which doesn't seem to be too awful bad. My cousin is supposedly checking out an 04' Pathfinder LE in Chicago for me this week. That one is around $12k.
