: front driver side wheel clicking noise
NissanArm05 07-06-2009, 03:45 PM I've noticed for some time now that I can hear a rattle/clicking noise coming from the front wheel. I took the wheel off and could turn the wheel and tried to focus on exactly where the clicking noise is coming from and it sounds like something to do with the axle where it meets the motor (not on the wheel end). What could this be? Easy fix? Cost? Suggestions?
Thanks, Corey

BlakSpyda 07-07-2009, 02:25 PM Mine turned out to be a loose bolt on the stabalizer bar (passenger side). I heard my noise on turns and definitely on bumps. I would have them look into it each time I went for maintenence. The 4th time I took it in specifically for the clicking and they took it for two days and tightened up everything until they found it. The only way they noticed it was from rust on the bolt. They replaced it under warranty.
GodfathersArmada 10-06-2009, 01:17 AM Got this same issue going on right now, do I have to take it to a dealer or can any local shop tighten the stabilizer bar?
Nickoli415 10-06-2009, 05:39 AM I also got the same issue but mine is neither a rattle or clicking but kind of like a screeching sound that only happens when i'm going below 25mph....but once you speed up it goes away....doesnt happen all the time though...where is this stabalizer bar located????

!bluebear08! 10-15-2009, 02:26 AM Im having this same problem. I notice it when coming to a stop sign. As I come to a stop, I can feel the clicking on the front left tire. I can also hear it when the windows are up. I have no clue what it is. I'm thinking that it might be a bearing? HELP!!! :(

If you haven't already, check your tire to make sure you haven't run over something. I had the same issue, turned out I had picked up a huge bolt in the tire, and the noise was the head of the bolt hitting the pavement.

!bluebear08! 10-15-2009, 12:39 PM That's exactly what it sounds like keith. I'll take a look at the tire today and update. I just don't want to take it in to the dealer if I don't have too. I have the extended warranty, but if it's something that is't covered...they charge just for looking at it. I did look up the wheel hub bearings, and those are covered, but what if that isn't it? Thanks Keith!
!bluebear08! 10-16-2009, 01:27 PM I checked under the truck yesterday. I found the problem!!! The front propeller shaft if going bad. One of the joints is a little loose which cause a little clicking noise that can be hear when coming to a stop. I did look in the PNC list for the coverages and it is convered under my extended Gold Prefered Warranty. I called Nissan and made an appointment. I clearly told them that I found the problem. They still have to confirm, but at the least...problem solved. Oh, and I also found that the upper link assembly on the driver side is bad. The joint has grease all around it. Seems like the dust cover broke. Looked it up, and it too is covered under warranty. So there you have it... Thanks for the support guys!!! I know I can always count on my fellow Armada members. I'll keep everyone updated on the warranty issues. I know Nissan loves to say no when it comes to warranty covereages.

Nickoli415 10-22-2009, 12:58 PM nvm. it turns out that theres a leak in the exhaust manifold. :(
BlakSpyda 10-22-2009, 01:25 PM Ouch. That sucks. I know the feeling too. I am about to change out mine.
Nickoli415 10-22-2009, 03:24 PM really sucks because I'm over here in Germany also and nissan stealerships are even worse than the states....any who...i've been looking on courtesy nissan parts and wondering if I order the exhaust manifold, is the 3-way catalyst part of the manifold or would the mechanic have to cut between them and then weld the new manifold to the old 3-way catalyst??? Thanks for all the help guys....rrrrreeeaaalllyyy appreciated:)
