From what I learned the 2010 Armada now has a $4500 rebate to the customer and the 2010 QX56 has a $6000 rebate dealer incentive. Is that correct?

Think the Armada may be $4k.

Edmunds confirms the $6000 dealer incentive (Cash to Dealer) on the QX56...and I too only see $4000 for the Armada...

first, I've been looking 6 weeks, and for most of it up against a lack of availability on Armadas. Six weeks on a purchase that may stay with us for 8-10 years is not that long. A decision was made, however price counts.

This one was supposed to come home yesterday.

Trust me, I analyze our big purchases as well, but I just don't publicize all of my number-crunching, hemming, hawing, etc. on the internet.

The Internet is interesting...you can get lots of opinions...many informative...often containing previously unknown information. My posts having hemming and hawing, they also have quite a bit of detailed information.

What did that information do? This search started the last week of May considering an Armada SE as alternative to newer Yukon XL 2500. It is ending with a 2010 QX56.

Congrats and good choice. My wife loves our QX and I believe that it is the best at it's intended purpose (luxurious "real" SUV).

What options and when do you pick it up?

I would STRONGLY suggest that you pick up a set of Weathertech floor and rear cargo mats. The light interiors of the white QX stain very easily. We added on some type of interior spill insurance at the dealership, but I've been too lazy to follow up on some of our issues.

That would probably be my biggest disappointment w/the QX- the fact that they dropped the ebony interior w/white exterior for the 08 model year. Previously, it was available and makes for a much more family friendly interior.

We have a light grey interior in the Mercedes, and had the fairly light taupe interior in the recently sold Yukon XL, no real problems. Just get one the carpet cleaner that heats the solution or uses steam. Ours has a hose and hand attachment with rotating brush. Net: probably weathertech for the rear, but stock carpeted mats elsewhere. I am also working on a solution for scuffing on the side panels in the rear which I've seen on several Armadas and QX56es.

Various things snagged things on Saturday, but I expect to have another one within two weeks.
