This questions is slightly different than the info I have found so far on this site. I found a really good deal on an 05 with rear capt chairs. But, I need a bench in 2nd row. I need a true 8 passenger SUV. The posts I have seen talk about taking the center section of 2nd row out and installling the console. Is it possible to go the other way with this and remove the console and install the middle seat? Will the armrests on the outer seats be in the way?
Or is it possible to remove the entire second row set up and install a bench seat?

I guess I should have looked for another ten minutes. I found an old (2007) post talking about this very subject. Someone replied saying they removed entire 2nd row (capts and console) and bolted in new bench with no problems.
Answers my question.
