We were planning a trip to Walt Disney World around the time of the disaster and I was trying to work in a launch. I work in the Aerospace industry, as a bean counter, but am constantly surrounded by engineer and I find their work fascinating. We ended up canceling our trip and hope to replan it now that are launching again. I hear it's and AMAZING, AWE-INSPIRING sight, you should enjoy it.

Plan on watching it out the office window.....I know it's not as impressive as watching it up close, but it's still damn cool. My pops was stationed at Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California when I was growing up, and that is where the used to land the shuttle and hoist it atop the 777 for the flight back to the Cape....saw at least a dozen landings.
I noticed that you too are a fellow Orlando native.....just wondering which dealership you take the Mada to.....I'm taking mine to Bill Ray Nissan tomorrow (b/c it's close to the office) to have them address the steering whell shimmy problem I'm having and also to snoop out and "fix" some of the dash and dvd rattles that are getting under my skin......any positive feedback about other area dealerships? Also, you mentioned that Discount Tire had several locations here in O-Town, any around the Longwood or Downtown area? Thanks, enjoy the launch.

Just back from driving out there. The guys on the radio didn't say it was scrubbed until an hour later.
I'll catch it when it goes. :3d_004:

Haven't watched a launch since they made us gather round the TV in third grade to see the Challenger explode live.

I was in my Freshmen year of college. They announced it and I said," Yeah, and I'm Mickey Mouse!". Couldn't believe it. My old man built satelites for a living. I got to touch a few before they were shot up. My first memory was watching the first man land on the moon. 2 years and 2 weeks old at the time and I vividly remember it. I also saw a few Saturn V launches from Ft Myers. Good stuff.

Ditto here, except I am not a bean counter, I give lots of info to the bean counters though. Those engineers are a different bread though. I am also in the aerospace industry (satellites). Hopefully it picks up quick.
