Sup All,

I just did the air box mod this morning and figured i give myself an hour. Well, cutting the plastic tubing was not that hard-slightly harder than anticipated cuz instead of using a dremel, i used a darn electrical hack saw...LOL.. it was kinda big but it did the job.. (sigh) well i thought that was the hard part-which only took about 15 minutes. but low and behold the cover of the filter is what took the longest, like 30 minutes just to get that Darn cover on. The reason why is because you know the three prongs in the back of the cover that fits in the three hoops in the back? well, i could not get the darn middle one perfectly on there, but the left side and the right side were easy. But with a lot of determination, the cover was put on correctly with no gaps after the cover was put on... (sigh) just as im putting this cover on, my time was up. Had to put everything away, jump in shower and off to work... Whew...

In any event, I was really excited to see this beast go. I kinda noticed a little more exceleration, (but it could be just my mind) and i dont know if the sound is louder.

I was reading the board here to see if i had to do anything to the ecu to adjust for the extra air coming in, but it looks like the computer will self adjust?

Can someone confirm this please?

Thanks All..

The ECU is self learning and will adjust after a few miles.

Hey bro, yea i will. I been meaning to do that. You guys have not seen my 08 le yet.

I will take some pictures this weekend. I dont know if im going to open up the air box to take pictures since it took me so long to snap the three prongs back into the hoops. You know the cover for the air box?

Take care and peace..

Does it sound louder than before you did the mod? Is there a before and after difference?

Yea, i can tell the difference when taking off or flooring it.. It definitely is much quicker throttle response. And i do notice a louder noise on the freeway. The louder noise is the exhaust.. So the air box mod i did was worth it...

But i think the reason why the exhaust may not sound as loud as it should is because of the exhaust tip i bought to put at the end of the factory exhaust? I dont know, but overall, im pleased with the results.....

For now, these are the mods i did no the stock 08 le.

-Full billet grill (with Hamburger logo) top and bottom
- Exhaust tip Stainless steel. (forgot what brand)
-front weather guard relector
- sunroof reflector
Thats it for now..

I was gonna lower the car from suspension max but they decided to raise the final price on me at the last moment.

But thats it for now ...

I could be wrong but I think Spring Tech or someone like that makes lowering springs for us. You might be able to lower it yourself and save a small fortune.

Yea, Thanks Pops. It is spring Tech...

I was thinking bout just purchasing them and finding a descent mechanic to install the springs-but i was wondering if they will know how to deal w the auto leveler...

Thanks Again Pops....

You guy all have a good weekend...
