I recently purchased an '07 with 17k miles. Now that the weather is getting cooler here in the midwest, I noticed a high-pitched rattle/squeak/rubbing from the driver side toward the front. It happens at less than 40 mph. I initially thought it was one of the running boards. When I exited the vehicle and closed the driver door, the noise occured. It doesn't make the noise when I close the passenger doors, just the front doors. I then noticed it was from the front of the vehicle. I opened the hood, opened and closed the doors and the noise disappeared. I closed the took, went for a drive and the noise returned. While driving slowly in the neighborhood, I released the hood latch and the noise disappeared. My question it, what are the lubrication points within the hood assembly? Perhaps a have a loose latch? I've checked all bolts and they are tight. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
