Hey all, I would like to replace the speakers in the truck. Can somebody tell me what size and if you have upgraded suggest any brand or amplifier that were used.

i dont know the size off hand, i believe they are 6.5". to be sure you can use a fit guide like the one at crutchfield.com. i have been using alpine speakers and amps for as long as i've been building car stereos and they are always excellent.

see, i was wrong! i checked the fit guide and the fronts are 6x9, the rears are 6.75.

I switched all of mine, fronts to a set of KEF 6-1/2, rears to 6-1/2 in Boston Acoustics, first powered by Hifonics, now powered by Sundown thanks to James at Tech12.

Speaker size is depend upon what you have, year and make. I think for front door speaker 61/2" required & JVC high power speaker is best for car or truck. :crikey:

Did anyone swap out there tweeters in the dash or rear door?
if so what did you put in there place?

I've replaced all of my speakers and tweeters. I'm trying Polk Audio tweets at the moment.

and the only thing not stelth is the rear tweeters, but I'm working on that!
