I like those halo projector fogs in that other thread. All my other cars since 1984 are BMW's so this caught my eye. The Armada is the BMW of large SUV's! Back on topic, this appears to be the matching headlights to those halo fogs. My 04 stock headlights are just starting to Yellow so I am thinking about alternatives to what I can bet are some really expensive stock replacements. Anyone try these?

I'm curious what the light pattern looks like especially if you have done an HID conversion.

There is nothing expensive about those projector headlights, lol. Even with HIDs, light output doesn't even come close to the OEM output our reflector headlights give. Those aftermarket projector headlights are just for looks, and no matter what brand they are, or claim to be, they're all the same.
You can always add HIDs to the stock headlights, or go with a true OEM projector/HID retrofit if money isn't an issue. I did a couple retrofits on my cars, but don't have the time anymore. Go check out www.hidplanet.com/forums/ for more information and check out some of the most creative OEM retrofits you'll ever see.

As Primo said, the aftermarket housing with projectors aren't as good as retrofit OEM, but does anyone know how the light output would be using aftermarket housings retrofitted with quality projector lenses (FX35) w/hid would be?
I am trying to get away from the OEM housing look.
Thanks...

I've seen and know people who have done OEM retrofits using aftermarket projector headlight housings. Its a cheaper option and sometimes, the right size OEM projector is a near perfect fit.. with some minor mods of course.
It takes some time and dedication, but in the end, its the best light output you can get when its all said and done.
Damn, with all this OEM projector talk, its making me want to start another retrofit for the armada. ;)
FYI, one of the most popular OEM projectors with the cleanest, sharpest cutoff is the Honda S2k projectors. Another alternative is the acura tsx or infiniti projectors that come a close second.

Thanks Primo. I would like to use my OEM housing, but I want the interior blackened and the amber reflectors inside removed if possible. It seems easier just to buy aftermarket and retrofit OEM projector lenses.
Thanks for the heads up on the Honda S2K lenses.

Sounds like you want to do the "Headlight Mod":
