Just got an ipod and was wondering if getting an attachment for the Mada is a MUST? I heard that iTRIP isn't that great and I heard MONSTER is better. Monster is 75$....is it worth it.
Maybe I should just burn CDs....it will save me money....RIGHT?

Hey Chera,
I too just got my 60gb in. I have a Premier head unit and Pioneer makes a controller for the Ipod, so I'll go that way. I'd love to hear suggestions on mounting though- I want something elegant and clean.
For you, if do you have the stock radio setup? If so it has an aux input, so all you really need is an 1/8" stereo to 1/8" stereo cable. Just plug it into the little plug that says "aux" and you're there.
I've heard others who say it's not quite loud enough, but if that's the case you can get an in-line amp installed to boost the output. Bottom line you should be able to hook it up easily!

My iPod plugs directly into the factory AUX port. I have no problem with loudness and more then likely those that do have to turn up the volume on the iPod or get a better 1/8 cable. I had my iPod custom mounted in the cup holder area.

COOL....thanks for the info guys. I will look into it. I just picked up that iCar (monster) It was like 75 bucks at Radio Shack....don't think I will keep it if I can just run it through AUX. Excuse me if this is a silly question BUT what kind of cable do I need again so I can plug in into the AUX?

1/8" stereo to 1/8" stereo. The end that goes into the AUX and the other end that goes into the iPod are identical. It looks like the part of the headphones that plug into your iPod, but on both ends. Don't scrimp if they give you an option for a higher quality cable from Monster over some cheap cable.
