Going to pick up a '10 Armada today and am wondering about the value of the extended warranties. Mostly, do the cover what they imply they cover?
Thanks

Welcome to CA randyward!

I had the Gold Security Plus 100K extended warranty and it paid for itself twice over in repairs and loaners/rentals. I now have 111K miles.

^^^ Get that one!!!! ^^^ It includes free towing and a free rental car everytime your car is in the shop.

I've had both Exhaust Manifolds, 2-front diff pinion seals, and a rivet for the tailgate motor replaced under it. That's over $10k in repairs that it's already paid for in addition to one tow trip and all free car rentals.

Well worth it IMHO. I want a 200k mile Gold Security+ warranty now. -lol :D

I have the Gold Perferred 7yr/100k on my 08'. With a bit over 30k no warranty issues as of yet.

By now most of the kinks should be worked out; but with so many items a general mechanic cannot fix or adjust it's worth it in the long run if something does come up down the road......

Thanks all for the advice. Picked up the Gold Preferred 84/100K. This truck is so complicated (Plat) that it looks to be a no brainer. BTW, I had a '05 Armada that I traded for a '05 Path as the size was killing me, but always regretted it. Went for the '10 before they go away. Still BIG but I love being back.

Hey, here's a bit of "I wish I'd known that": I had the transfer case actuator fail 200 miles from home, and called the roadside assistance number in the gold warrenty book. They told me that towing was limited to $100, and I was required to give the tow operator my VISA number as the tow was going to be about $140. I did that, thinking that the Nissan new car warrenty also had this limit. Anyway, saw that my VISA was billed for an additional $84. In the meantime, my home dealer (they looked out for me well) gave me a rental to drive back to the repairing dealer, and I happened to look at the new car warranty again, and it did not have the dollar restriction. Called Nissan, and they agreed.

Long story short, it appears that roadside assistance for the Gold is not the same as the Nissan new car assistance people and I'm working to get my $84 back. Oops!!!
