I was doing my 60K service to day on my 2006 LE and I noticed the 2 rubber lines from the transmission to the cooler were leaking...but only on the metal pan that covers that part of the front underside. Can I use regular transmission rubber lines to replace them? Does anyone know what size they are?
Thanks,
Bobby
IIRC, I think someone posted that just replacing the clamps with better screw type clamps is sometimes all that's needed.

That will be my first thing I will do...then if that does not fix it...new hoses.
Thanks Pops! I still owe you lunch....we will have to meet up some time!

this is a fairly common failure, especially on early Armadas. I replaced a clamp and that was sufficient. Give it a try!

For the bottom one, it was 2 ft of 5/16" Transmission Oil cooler line - $2.38
for the hose clamps, get the #6 size (2nd smallest and comes in the 4 pack) - $2.49
Something that the dealership couldn't beat - it took less than 15 minutes once I had the truck on ramps and I had the stock hose measured and the replacement cut to length- very little fluid loss too...maybe a couple of ounces.
Start with the hose end closest to the engine and work quickly - once you pull the radiator end, you should be able to pop it right on

Thanks Pops! I am going to try the clamps first...(tomorrow after work) and if no joy...I will get some transmission line and be done with it. :)

mine has started to leak can you use 5/16 fuel hose line or does it have to be trans oil cooler hose?

Not sure....maybe someone will chime in. I plan to just get the right hose line if my new clamps don't work.
