As far as I know, I have just about every option Nissan was able to load onto my Armada, but I still have two blank switches: one to the left of the steering wheel, next to the instrument brightness control, and one on the console to the right of the power outlet - next to the tow mode switch. Neither is listed in the owners manual. Anyone know what they are? ....found answer 7/30...blank switch on console is Titan "lock axle", switch on dash is Tital "cargo light." not used on Armada.

May be for options for the future or something on the QX. (The QX has smart cruise but I don't think you engage/disengauge it on these blanks) I have the same blanks and I have an LE with every option but SAT. I'm going to use mine for aftermarket stuff like extra lights and maybe an on/off ;) switch to enable the NAV to play the TV.

I imagine they are "Just incase" switches. A lot of trucks and SUV's seem to have these for JUST in case situations (aftermarket accessories). Or maybe they are used for something in the QX56. :D

The blank next to the dashlight wheel is for the "cargo light" on the titan, evidently the dash is the same, but has a few different bells & whistles.

I installed switches in them both, one operates the Armada to Escalade surface to surface tacky bling homing missles and the other the chain gun. Man this thing is Bad A$$! :machinegu

Thank you Blakspyda. I hope someone will respond as well. I'm scratching my head to get them out. I want to avoid drilling or cutting them.

I hope this helps, but it does look like there is some dash work/removal to be done to get to the switch for removal.

They are just held in there by two clips on each end you just depress the clips and it pops out. Which ones are you wanting to take out?

I'm trying to remove a blank switch. I've tried a small blade on top and bottom, and the son of a b won't come out. Still scratching my head.

I have not removed blanks specifically from Mada, but they are generally the same on any automobile - the tabs that James referred to are on the back. Usually get at them from behind the dash, squeeze them and they'll pop out. Prying from front won't work - the harder you pull, the harder the tabs grab - especially bad if tabs are stronger than the dash trim :( Hope this makes sense and helps.

Which blank ones? on the dash or the ones under the steering wheel or the ones on the shifter cover?

The ones to the left the steering wheel above the emergency brake. I can't get my hands behind the dash. Is it easier to take the ones out of the shifter cover? Since I don't have heated seats, I can use that switch. Thanks to all for your assistance with this.

Yes the one by the shifter cover is easier to me. all you need to do put on the emergency brake and put it in neutral and then unscrew the shift knob and then you can just pull up gently on both sides of the shifter cover and it pops right up and out. then you can get to the blank switches. Or You can also do the ones by the steering wheel and I think it is two screws and the bottom cover pops out but I have not personally done that so I do not know for sure. Hope this helps.

I figured it out...there are (2) screws on the bottom of the dash (Just like James said). Remove it and the dash pops off - now you can get to the switches. Now I'm having a hard time putting the screws back. They won't go all the way in.
