Some pics.
Notice, the tires stick out a little. You can see them in pic. #4. Also labeled where they rub. With the heat gun, it just barely scraps off the dirt. Without the HG treatment, it made some good rubbing noises. Took the rubbing pics when they were dirty so they showed up better. ;)

not a fan of the wheels and tires should have got some 22's or 24's would have made your mada 10 x better looking.

So back to the topic in hand. Thanks for the pics. Was always wondering what people meant about the rubbing and how bad it was

I posted the pics in response to people asking what I had, more pics, and wanting to get what I have. I know, lets go fishing for fresh TripleBlack, but as I've said, I'd rather have 18". I don't care about looks, its function I want.

BTW, what do you have? :nana:

Hay 92tripleBlack I got a dumb question so bare with me . Do you think the rubbing is from the height of the tires or the width ?

Combination. The rubbing occurs at the outer edge of the tire when the tire is turned half way right or left. Wider or taller would increase the rubbing. You could go narrower and taller for example and not rub, or wider and shorter, but not both. Bottom line, I think my combo is about as big as you can get without cutting or raising. ;)

I like to continue when the pavement ends also. To that end, I may go to 18" BFG KOs and then swap out the wheels when I am flu$h with ca$h. Maybe go 20's, but then I have to pony up for both at once. My neighbor has Michelins on his Lexus and loves them, but I have had 3 sets of BFGs and never a flat, including mucho offroading when I had a 87 4Runner. Plus, since there are no studded snows out there to fit this monster, they are the next best thing with a severe snow condition rating.

I like the bling, but I've got too many cool places without pavement to go!

old post I know....anyone know the back spacing and offset on these wheels? Would a leveling kit have fixed these rubbing issues?
